I have a plugin phonec that can also be used as an effect , but to do this phonec needs to be added as an instrument you then need to route the output of your other synth through phonec ,

in ableton lite this is easy but in cubase ai i’m having trouble figuring it out any help would be appreciated cheers .

I don't know phonec, but the simplest way in steinberg requires the plugin to be programmed that way.. that is it needs to be vst3 AND have side chaining programmed into it.

If you mean the Cubase AI you talked about in another thread, then its routing is very limited compared to the Pro version. E.g., you can't route an instrument track to an audio track, to record the output.

I'm pretty sure that what you're asking for isn't possible in Cubase AI.

Don't doubt you... its politics vs technology... (sb didn't design vst2 to do this, but people found a way to do it, whereas sb included as planned that functionality in vst3.. but yes we have had tons of 'convos' about it here and elsewhere)
