I definitely have some decision-making needs now too. I was planning on an all-filter box, but I really like the idea of XPO into QPAS. I also want to add X-Pan, since it seems they'll become available again.
This sort of blows up that (all-filter) idea unless I omit QPAS from the box. Decisions, decisions.
I would need to get a proper Eurorack case, but I was hoping Behringer's SEM clone would be released around the same time I make that move. I'd love to drop the SEM clone and possibly a Sherman Filterbank 2 Rack to fill the gaps on my desk once I move the Eurorack stuff.

Oh I like that, very much in my ballpark.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

awful session though!
headphones which i hate for starters, and trying to be quiet as im about 3 feet from my neighbours bed. but every cable seems to sound like a drum kit being dropped down the stairs if i drop it
and i did realise at one point, at the minute, it probably would have been a good time to give the projector a proper go! it's very rare im going to be in there once it's dark enough for a while.

Yeah, me too. Sounds lovely, and I'm sure it will do well, but there was nothing "OMG!!! I HAVE TO HAVE THIS!!!" about it for me. I did really like the wave folders, but I am not fixated on the need/desire for something being "stereo" (per se) , as I like and really enjoy 'placing' sounds specifically within that field, or panning them randomly (or deliberately) throughout it, and I have filters (including stereo) and other means which facilitate and 'define' that field, and that interaction.foosnark wrote: Sat Jul 16, 2022 3:29 am Personally, I'm leaning toward a pass on this. It does sound really good (and it makes QPAS sound great too [...] I'm still on the "I have enough / too many VCOs" thing too [...]
Plus, the much improved limited {to 200} edition Dreadbox Erebus II eurorack kit comes out in September, and I don't want to miss it this time. And the West Pest of course. Which combined, lean more towards a sound palette/tonality and specific 'character' I'm missing currently.
... carry on.

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

im glad i have a couple of weeks to consider. it was pretty awesome sounding, but, for the same price-ish, that's two west pests...
on the other hand, it would pair nicely with mimeophone and a couple of other bits...
will keep an eye on new videos over the next weeks, but it's definitely a contender for rack space.

I meant it, though... They should feature your sounds. That last live set you posted is great stuff. Not just blowing smoke.vurt wrote: Sat Jul 16, 2022 11:52 amain't that the truth!

Just ordered the Utility M3 stand from Kvgear. They’re going to swap out the telescoping rods for for some different ones that can be narrowed to fit the Oto Machines.
What like best is that I can collapse and store this away when I’m not using 3 boxes at once.

the 3 cre8audio things...
since i started my rack, one thing i kept meaning to do, add 3 (or 2 to current) oscillators, all the same! for some nice fat detuning drones...
figured, i like this oscillator, the filter is nice on the beast, and different to any of my others, and well, the pest has spoken for itself...
but, the price point, given all the extras like sequencing and env/lfos, midi to cv... make them pretty much irresistible tbh.
and as i have a good few filters already, one is enough for now, but i have no wavesshaping aside from 0coast, which i do love, but can't use it on anything else.
and the ether, for the scooter with a big ass sound system!
