Virsyn Tera 3 and Cube 2 have been updated, adding Apple Silicon support.
It's important to note that Virsyn desktop installers stopped working in recent Mac OS versions. So it's great to have these updates, they could not be installed even on Intel Macs prior to this.
Also, be aware that the iOS equivalent of these plugins, Tera Pro and Cube Synth Pro, are installable on Apple Silicon Macs. They work perfectly as AUv3s (I have both of them), so if you use Ableton Live that will add AUv3 support in the next update, Logic Pro or Reaper, you can obtain these synths for much less money.

i have a couple of his synths on my ipad but the only one that shows up on my m1 mac is Addstation. the others aren't available for download. It looks like i can buy cubesynth pro again from the laptop but for whatever reason the app store only shows that i own it when looking on the ipad.Pinku Eiga wrote: Sun Jul 17, 2022 9:19 am Virsyn Tera 3 and Cube 2 have been updated, adding Apple Silicon support.

If you already have the iOS app, push the buy button in the Mac app store, and the Mac version will be added for free.dayjob wrote: Sun Jul 17, 2022 2:34 pmi have a couple of his synths on my ipad but the only one that shows up on my m1 mac is Addstation. the others aren't available for download. This happen with all the iOS universal apps that added M1 support after the release.
Basically, if a developer releases a universal app that is marked as installable on M1 macs, once you purchase this, you automatically have access to the Mac version.
But if an app is released without the Mac option and that is added months later, to add this to your Mac account you need to push the buy button again, but you won't be charged. At the end of the process it will say that the app was already in your account.

I don't see Apple Silicon support on these. The demo downloads do not have it.Pinku Eiga wrote: Sun Jul 17, 2022 9:19 am Virsyn Tera 3 and Cube 2 have been updated, adding Apple Silicon support.

No VirSyn Mac apps are currently available in the App Store, so these are not universal apps. They are also not available in the iOS section on a Mac if you don't already own them from purchasing them on an iOS device. Regardless, even if a developer enables support on their existing iOS apps, I do not add them. There is no VST, and they are not Mac apps.

And it's confirmed in this post of the developer:
https://virsyn.net/desktop/legacy-apps.html
Now I have the doubt if they have been really updated, but the installers are the old ones. Or the installers were updated without being M1 native, but only M1 compatible.

I see no confirmation from the developer anywhere about M1 support. Only some legacy products (not including TERA or CUBE) that have macOS 11/12 support. Seems the only thing he did was bundle his apps into a standard pkg rather than using a proprietary installer.Pinku Eiga wrote: Mon Jul 18, 2022 1:55 pmI read that the desktop apps were updated in this link:teilo wrote: Mon Jul 18, 2022 1:00 pmI don't see Apple Silicon support on these. the only info present is on the individual product pages and isn't clear if they're native or simply running in rosetta. shrug.teilo wrote: Mon Jul 18, 2022 2:16 pmI see no confirmation from the developer anywhere about M1 support. Yeah, it's sad. What a missed opportunity for Virsyn, I was willing to pay 99 euros for a VST version of Cube Synth that can run under Bitwig. But there is no way in which I will pay this price for something that is not ARM native, taking into account that Apple will discontinue Rosetta 2 in the future, because Apple.
At least now they are installable in recent MacOS versions, for those that already payed for these.

It just seems crazy to me that they would release $800 software in mid-2022 without M1 support from the start.nordickvr wrote: Mon Jul 18, 2022 7:07 pmFrom "[NEW] MIR Pro 3D - Free 30 days demo!" thread at VI Control p.4jamcat wrote: Mon Jul 18, 2022 6:19 pm Do I have it right that the new VSL MIR Pro 3D is NOT native Apple Silicon?

Surprised me too.
Looks like they’ll release the whole thing (let’s call it the VSL ecosystem) all together…
