Yep, IMO it's a vanity problem. They 'could' have released a single VEP plug in for M1, thereby allowing users to use Rosetta plug ins on an older Mac or PC with either the new iLok or old eLicenser libraries, and VST, MAS plug ins for their DAWs instead of AU only in Rosetta, but hey it's no big deal right? IMO that's the sort of company BS that really holds the whole thing back, it's pretty much about perceived dollars, M1 being a "small market" (as stated by them), but IMO they lost potential customers and made me think twice about using it. Especially if the upcoming likely M2 Mac Pros are fully capable of hosting hundreds of sample libraries natively without hiccup.nordickvr wrote: Mon Jul 18, 2022 10:55 pmIndeed.jamcat wrote: Mon Jul 18, 2022 7:36 pmIt just seems crazy to me that they would release $800 software in mid-2022 without M1 support from the start.nordickvr wrote: Mon Jul 18, 2022 7:07 pmFrom "[NEW] MIR Pro 3D - Free 30 days demo!" thread at VI Control p.4jamcat wrote: Mon Jul 18, 2022 6:19 pm Do I have it right that the new VSL MIR Pro 3D is NOT native Apple Silicon?
Q - Any timeline for apple silicon versions?
A - Sorry, no ETA, but we are on it!
Surprised me too.
Looks like they’ll release the whole thing (let’s call it the VSL ecosystem) all together…

I hate their architecture. It's like the Waves shell. A single VST / AU, and then external binaries for each plugin separate from the AU / VST.

If you choose the “legacy” option when running the installer, you get individual dll’s. For the VST at least.teilo wrote: Thu Jul 21, 2022 6:44 pmI hate their architecture. It's like the Waves shell. A single VST / AU, and then external binaries for each plugin separate from the AU / VST.

I'm not tracking installation hubs. Native Access 2.1 is also native, as is Arturia Software Center.

There is a search function on the site if you can't find something.DRMR wrote: Sun Jul 24, 2022 11:39 amOh huh. I honestly couldn't find it. Thnx

The links are links. What's to improve?
I don't have descriptions for most software, unless there are important caveats related to Apple Silicon.
