...The new look FM is a major upgrade on it's predecessor. The first issue was excellent, and this month's is just as good. I now find it a cover to cover read, with lots of interesting articles, whereas previously, I had to struggle to find content amongst all the ads and ass kissing.

Occurs to me that they have been studying forums like this one, in order to see what sorta things us guys are interested in. They now have it right, and FM has become my one regular monthly music mag purchase.

CM mag, is still awful, and I will get that only when there's a decent CD on the cover. I mean .." 1000 free drum samples" usually equates to 5 single hits of each drum, and a load of loops that I never use. :(

The East-West/Zero-G Intakt rompler on the cover wasn't bad either 8)

Music Tech outdid them with their first cover DVD though... PMI Old Lady and Emperor LE and lots of other goodies :D
Music with dinner is an insult both to the cook and the violinist.

Really? When was that out then, or is it still in the shops?

Music Tech is a mag that I only tend to see in larger WH Smiths shops.

8) I'll be watching out for that one
I usually joke about taking the cd and tossing the mag
but truth is I go thru them first and some articles are worth it.
I ripped out the 'get the most from xp' article they printed awhile back and keep it with me back-up cds.
