Battery powered sound system

Finally purchased a JBL party 110.
After some tests, sound is impressive for an average speaker.
Sound can be boomy.
I tried the live set I will play tomorrow during music fest in the street.
I plugged the audio output of my laptop to the audio in of the JBL.
No need to take my audio interface, that's enought to run bitwig. Laptop on Linux.

So I perform my techno live yesterday. The sound which cmoes out of the JBL party 110 was not huge but quite loud and boomy for a small audience for listeners around 10 m. Unfortunatally, I had few success as big groups were on town and people prefer to listen to more established (pro or half pro) with big sound system, stage and lights. I also live in an area were electronic music in not very popular but rock.
I spoke music with young people who were interested on how to produce techno, they at first thought the APC40MKII was a mixing desk, so first lesson,don't make confusion with a DJ who plays playlists (as could have done my beloved grandmother or david guetta) and producers who spent countlesss hours in the studio to prepare there own sound !
I was surprised my JBL ran out of battery after 3 hours at near max volume, 90%, lights on, bass boost I. I expected 5/6 hours as the battery is brand new (3 days), my lenovo laptop was at 50% running bitwig with a bunch of audio items.
I sent a report to JBL and ask if this is a normal behavior, damaged battery ?
I'll post a link with a vid when my wife will come back, it's on her smartphone I think see loves me

My JBL is now a great combo plugged in to my TV, bass sounds shakes the house as a big subwoofer and makes films a better experience like in cinema.
I plan to buy a 310, if in stock somewhere someday !!!

That sounds great. Was the sound recorded on your laptop or is that from the camera's mic? If it's from the mic, that speaker has some serious grunt! Nice work. It doe slook like you are standing in the middle of nowhere, though, not quite what I'd imagined, which was more of a street cafe kinda vibe.

thnaks. yes recorded from phone mic hence the poor quality. i had to find a quiet place as in town there were big rock groups as written in my previous post.

finally i purchased 2 jbl party 110 and perform a live today in the forest with an apc40 and bitwig. 1h30 at full max and still juice in the batteries. sound is boomy and quite loud for 2 little speakers. perhaps in a few months i will invest in 2 jlb party 310 https://www.instagram.com/tv/CgC-KzmoCD ... thanks. i sent a mail to jbl and they teply a jblpartybox need 36Wh and that a 300Wh power statin is then ok for a couple but i don't know how many time will last the powerstation ? the advantage is the sound is louder than with the native batteries, 98dB instead of 92 i think wich is huge as sound doubles every 3 dB

it delivers 300Wh so this is 300W for 1 hour, 150W for 2 hours and so on ??? do 2 jblpartybox 36Wh will last 4 hours on this powerstation ?

300 Wh. At USA mains AC voltage of 110V that would be abt 3 Ampere. At 12V a whopping 25A. You need thick cables (like car jumper starter) to handle that.
Does the JBL accept 110V?

JBL says battery of Partybox 310 is Lithium-ion 72Wh. So with this external battery you can play the same volume but abt 4x longer.

Something drawing 30W would drain it in 10 hours. 300W in one hour. Reasonable expectation that at 80 or 90% drain it will gradually give less power.

Yeah, the battery power devices might be a little unreliable and oh . . . lithium ion fires
I'd stick with a little gas-powered generator albeit with a back-up petrol can(ironic that that's only slightly less combustible :=)

In France it is 220V so are my JBLs.

but is more expensive, noisy and need maintenance ? Anyway thanks for the advice I'll take it into account.
