Terminator OST - how?

Specifically the whistling/drone sound at the start of the Terminator Arrival cue

It should be simple, Brad Fiedel only used a small amount of gear, a prophet 10, an Oberheim and the Emulator. He also had helo from an electric violinist.
But this lovely little ambient sound eludes me and I'm smitten with this soundtrack at the moment. I love the mixture of machine emu textures and prophet sounds.

It has a glassy sound which might be possible with a filtered triangle wave into some reverb. Though I wonder if it isn't a recording of a blown bottle or other glass instrument. You might be able to get close with something by Soniccouture.

I think it really is just one of the analog synths. It sounds like a square wave but with some noise of some kind
