Plugin that detects the chord you're playing

Hi all,
I saw in some youtube videos, like this one here (I added the timestamp): , they have software that shows you the name of the chord you're playing. What plugins can be used for that?

I like to press random keys and experiment with chords at times and I could figure out all the chords I'm playing, but this would save me a lot of time since I have a full time job which has nothing to do with music.

If the plugin in the video is a part of a DAW, is there such a thing in Reaper, since that's the one I'm using?

You can use Scaler plugin for that, Studio One also has this feature by itself.
I'm not aware if Reaper has it.

Simple Chord Detection and it is free :)
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

HoRNet SongKey MK4 knows both audio/midi (even has MIDI out) https://www.hornetplugins.com/plugins/h ... ngkey-mk4/ and looks a bit sexier than SCD ... for money

Well, if you want more advanced tool for chords, then Ultimate Chord Engine is on Sale now for $15 (this is almost the same price as Hornet SongKey!)

I'll check all of the above and see what I like the best (price being a factor :D ). All of these seem to fit the bill so thank you for your replies and helping me out! :)

However, although Ultimate Chord Engine is cheap when discounted, it doesn't show the chord you play. It is useful and good value for money, but I prefer Scaler 2 as all in one solution for scales/chords and for displaying what I play. It also has several sounds so it doesn't need routing. I would save and buy Scaler 2 when in discount if I were you.

Cool! I ended up getting the Hornet's SongKey MK4. Haven't tried it yet, but it has MIDI input and output as well as regular audio chord/key recognition so I think I made the right choice.

There are additional links in the comments for mirrors. I managed to download, but I didn't install. Scan for viruses just in case.

There's also midiChords by Insert Piz Here:

Edit: sorry I didn't see this was already mentioned earlier in the thread.

Not plugins, but Midiculous https://gospelmusicians.com/products/midiculous-4 and Chordie https://chordieapp.com/ are excellent for seeing what you're playing.
