Was there no Cubase 11->12 update sale this year?

12 was delayed because of the new system and didn't come out until March of this year.
I think it's too soon for a sale still, but there was a sale type price when it was first announced.

I'm betting on November/December too. It would be close to previous time frames: 8 months after the previous release, 4 months before the next one.

Sales were a VST2 feature. No longer supported.

Yes indeed. Plus you get 3rd party plugins too.. well if you register your updated license key before the sale ends on October 3rd you do.
Pro version purchases get Arturia CS-80V, Melodyne Essentials, Softube Dirty Tape, and a couple others.
Artist and Essential versions purchases get a smaller bundle.
I think they are trying to convince people not to hold on to the keys until the next Grace Period
Also, I got an email from Celemony at the same time:
More push to get you to register that Cubase serial early than sit on it.. haha. Now, as part of the great Cubase Sale in September, you can update to Cubase 12, if you don’t already have it, at a bargain price. In addition, every Cubase 12 user gets a free serial number for Melodyne 5 essential. However, since you already own Melodyne, you can use the serial number in our web shop as a coupon for an update to Version 5.
You will find the serial number in your Cubase user account. Go to our web shop and choose the appropriate update. Then enter the serial number as a coupon in your shopping cart. The benefits are considerable:
For Melodyne assistant, with the coupon the update is free of charge, so you’ll save 49 €/US$
For Melodyne editor, with the coupon the update costs only 29 €/US$, so you’ll save 70 €/US$
For Melodyne studio, with the coupon the update costs only 49 €/US$, so you’ll save 100 €/US$
Please note, however: The Melodyne serial number will only be available in your Cubase account during the Cubase Sale (ends October 3, 2022). So be sure to copy the number, even if you don’t wish to update quite yet. The coupon will then remain valid for one year.

If (big if) this is the case, maybe Steinberg'll be back on track regarding yearly .5 updates.VitaminD wrote: Fri Sep 02, 2022 1:05 pm ...

Yes I wonder that too on the updates. I've been contemplating on whether to activate the update now or wait until end of the year to see if I can get an extra Cubase 0.5 update out of it that might hold more value depending on what is in the 12.5 (or 13 if they skip half ver) update..

There should be a voucher section added to your account soon after you registered the upgrade.phonetica wrote: Fri Sep 30, 2022 5:30 pm Anyone redeemed the Melodyne upgrade yet?
I just got the pro 12 upgrade, but I can't see a Melodyne serial anywhere. It should be in MySteinberg, correct?
All the offers are in there.
