It will soon be two years since apple introduced the m1 chip and gave the deadline for software adaptation to developers :!:

Unfortunately, we still have a lot of leading companies that have not done it and don't know when they will

I contacted every support and requested the information that I now want to share here

Plugins/companies that need to be updated:

- TC electronic
http://ow.ly/non750K0awH
will be updated sometime

- Lexicon
https://proforums.harman.com/lexicon/di ... ent_198889
will be update sometime, but its unclear when. I'm just afraid, knowing how it's been so far with Lexicon, that we'll have to wait too long for updates

- Sonimus plugins
support says it will be in some time

- UJAM
Support says it will be updated in September or October

- Endeavor FX plugins
Support says it will be updated in September or October

- Soundtoys
They are M1 native already but is missing vst3 support. It is in beta and we all exptected release in coming days/weeks

- Relab development
Support says they are still in beta but it will be partial. first release will be lx480 complete v4

- Izotope
it is unclear what and when. RX 9 is only native for now. it is not clear too what will happen with Exponential plugins

- JST Plugins
it is unclear what and when. no ETA date, but it is sure it will be done someday

- Solid State Logic plugins
Latest plugins are m1 native, but older not. will be done at some point

- MAAT plugins
Their EQs are still not native, but i saw a notification that thEQblue version 4 native is coming

- GGD plugins
M1 native version of this plugins are in beta at the moment

- PSPaudioware

- Ugritone plugins
it is unclear what and when

- Sonic studio plugins
it is unclear what and when

- Dada life plugins
it is unclear when

- Drumforge
it is unclear what and when

- AIR Music Tech plugins
latest release is M1 native , but it is totally unclear what will happen with the other products.

- Native Instruments
it is unclear what and when

- Kush audio plugins
it is unclear what and when

- Audio Ease

If you have some additional info for some other unlisted plugins and companies, please share here

bfd3 is now InMusicBrands and support is terrible , bfd3 is still full of bugs and for intel, so the question is whether it will ever be m1 native :(

SSL plugins state "Autumn 2022" for M1 native versions of their plugins, on their FAQ page.

Not sure why this is important... VST3 is over ten years old and loads of developers don't support that yet. Get in the queue!!!!

I'm joking. But two years is nothing in software development.

Support says they are still in beta but it will be partial. first release will be lx480 complete v4
What does it mean that it will be “partial”?

Also, Relab aren’t VST3 yet either, but I understand that will be coming as well.

They have others?

They would have to actually release them first before they could update them. :ud:

That’s actually my biggest concern with Relab. They have a bunch of stuff they’ve been talking about and showing off at NAMM for years and years and years that still have never materialized.

This is why I’m always skeptical about buying from new companies without demonstrated support. I wish they just wouldn’t support Mac instead of supporting it initially and then deciding it’s not worth the hassle.

  • Output
Afaik none of their plugins are native. I only own Portal and have replaced it with Arturia’s Fragments and UA’s Silo.
  • Lindell
A few of their newer ones are native. I’ve replaced their 7X-500 with Arturia’s FET (or the excellent Diode) compressor.

Mostly I’m waiting for Native Instruments to get their act together. That’s the big one for me. Luckily it works reasonably well with Rosetta, but I‘d take slightly better Reaktor performance in a heartbeat.

Expressive E is taking their sweet time. Noisy will be M1 native this year with everything else being ported afterwards, so realistically, I'll still be running Rosetta in 2025.

Well, I've got LX480 Complete, LX480 Essentials, VSR-S24 (I know, they pulled this recently to focus on the long-delayed update - don't know why they don't still sell the current version), and Sonsig-A (which after ValhallaVintageVerb is my second most used verb).

So they've got 4 products out there. I agree it's annoying they are slow, and you were probably using hyperbole, but Relab makes incredible products (plural).

I dont quite get it why everyone would have to rush to new chips anyway... this was something that I already knew would happen if architecture would change, but then again I'm running 10 year old i7 PC :D

I mean what did you think would happen? Instant support for everything?
