Great UI design (aww, the duck is so cute!) and the amount of control they're going to give is fantastic. I can imagine Hold will be very handy in some cases, almost like a secondary pre-delay. Plus a gain reduction meter... could not ask for more - UVI delivers.

Is it odd that Dual Delay X is not accessible inside Falcon? It means you can't have your reverb after the delay, and you cant modulate its parameters.

It would be great to have any kind of reaction from UVI in regards to internal modulation - something simple along the lines of "good idea, we might add that later" would already do the trick here...

What kind of modulation do you have in mind ?
Not sure we want DDX to be a modular delay with everything that can be modulated.
It's more on the KISS side. If you want to go wild maybe Relayer would be a better choice.

I am fine with it being KISS - particularly at the price point. Easy enough to modulate using the DAWotristan wrote: Mon Jul 18, 2022 8:17 am What kind of modulation do you have in mind ?

As I (and others) said a few times here in this thread, even just a single simple LFO that would be (more or less) freely asignable would be great. This could be hidden behind a single menu-button on the title bar just as you did with the ducking.otristan wrote: Mon Jul 18, 2022 8:17 am What kind of modulation do you have in mind ?

I agree that a full modulation section a la Shade would be overkill, however I don't think something as per my suggestion would break the KISS principle (which I am a fan of).

A little LFO would go a long way...obviously we can use DAW automation to do anything, but for 'patch designers' who want a self contained effect to sell or share, they could do a lot more interesting, moving things with an LFO.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

It's typical for reverb (e.g. 'SparkVerb') to follow any delay. Why not have DDX available inside Falcon?otristan wrote: Mon Jul 18, 2022 8:17 am?SynthasaurusRex wrote: Sat Jul 16, 2022 7:24 am Is it odd that Dual Delay X is not accessible inside Falcon? Thing was I didn't understand your question. DDX has juste been released but it will be featured in Falcon a bit later.

Relayer is a multi tap delay with dedicated FX chains on each tap while DDX is a feedback dual stereo delay with a focus on shaping the feedback path to obtain, coloured, spatial and lush sounds.

A quick and dirty run through of some of the presets. My first time with it, diving straight in with no plan. I edited a lot of the tweaking out and just kept the A/B comparisons and raw improv diving in with the presets. The thing is dirt cheap right now, so it's kind of a no brainer if you are looking for a pretty original Delay.
It's essentially the dual delay effect from Falcon, only fleshed out in to it's own beast. The presets, I can attest, are pretty inspiring. Check it out.
A heaping dose of outrageously goofy synth tracks, scores and chiptunes.

I’ll have to give this a try before before the intro price ends now this has had the ducker added. Good news about it being added to Falcon in the future as well.

Falcon just updated to v2.5.7, but Dual Delay X is not in there. So, get it now? Or wait til it comes in with a Falcon update?

there's always been a dual delay in falcon. it's not exactly the same as the plug in version of dual delay but you're pretty much there minus some features.SynthasaurusRex wrote: Fri Jul 22, 2022 7:15 pm Falcon just updated to v2.5.7, but Dual Delay X is not in there. they may flesh it out one day and add all the things that the plug in version has but i don't feel falcon is really lacking in this area.
also, for $29 it's pretty convenient to use it in other situations where working w/falcon maybe isn't the most convenient option.
