Thanks for the review beardedone (may I call you Gordon?).

What genre is this?

I had nothing special in my mind, maybe someone else could categorize it. My compositions are build around my guitar playing so this was based on the chord progression of the verse of some unfinished pop-rock-prog ballad.

Needs to be mixed a bit more up front though

There was no serious mixing or mastering in this one. I just pushed a few buttons

reverse-slowed down drum is a bit overdone to me

Panning the drum effects might be cool.

i like it,not much to offer really as the mix seems ok to me.and as you already stated my skills are more ambient so i have no advice.
all i can say is i liked it,look forward to hearing more
