Updating Melda Plugins

Hi all I'm wondering if you can advise
I have a few v14 Melda Plugins already, but just downloaded the free bundle. I notice that they are now v15. The installer says it needs to clean up any other instances of the plugins in order to install, however I'm concerned that project files using the v14 plugins will no longer function, if I select this.
Can someone please let me know if removing the old versions and installing the new ones will have an impact on my DAW finding the instance of the plug in? ( as long as they are installed to the same VST directory of course )
Hope that makes sense
Thanks

Go ahead with the update, Melda doesn't break compatibility with older versions. It would be a nightmare if they did...

Good reminder to me to check for updates - I have a couple of Melda plugins and TBH I rarely if ever check that sort of thing. I can't even remember the protection on Melda - do I need to look up my original purchase stuff for codes etc or do I just d/l the new version? It's so long since I bought them, I can't remember how I authorised them at all. Password wasn't it?

Oh yeah...do I have to d/l the whole gamut of Melda to get a couple of updates? I remember downloading around a huge amount of stuff just to get one plugin last time...

It’s one unified download then you select which plug ins to install or update. It’s not a super massive download. Doesn’t take long. The melda servers are pretty quick in my experiencekritikon wrote: Sun Jul 24, 2022 12:35 am Oh yeah...do I have to d/l the whole gamut of Melda to get a couple of updates? Thanks for this information, much appreciated!
As I suspect is the case with many other people, I am always hesitant when it comes to updates like this, especially when I've used a bunch of Melda plugins on existing projects I'm yet to finish!
Cheers
