I just received an email about an update to v2.4

Here's what's new with Equator2.4:

A new spectrum analyzer and waveform view, visible from the main display screen.
New animations for modulation sources.
New level meters for both sources and FX.
New level indicators for modulation sources.
Specific Equator2 animations can now be turned on or off in your app preferences.

Tried to update from 2.3 using Roli Connect - install error. Mac OS Monterey here. Does the Roli Connect update work ok for anyone on Mac?

Wow who cares. Why can't they allow user folders for samples. Given that there is a sample index that can be modulated, yet you can't even create and use a folder, you'd think that would be the highest priority.

I reported it.. it does install it, but roli connect seems to think it has only installed 2.3 and there is a 2.4 waiting be installed..
Well at least for me on Big Sur.
on PC it went fine.

Wanting that has never even cracked my top 5 feature requests for them... (though somewhat related, I wish I could choose where the factory library is stored)

simple point is that because it is a high priority for you doesn't mean it is for all or them.

Sure, same could be said for any feature. It just seems like a glaring omission given that index can be modulated. Yet you can't actually organize samples in a way that makes the index useful without first creating an sfz. And doesn't seem like a big change either. But hey, spectrum analyzer is cool. I think. Actually I do like some of the new modulation visualizations.

Thx! -- just checked and I still have the 2.3 AU component here. I also submitted a support request -- we'll see...

I dumped my AU as I use Cubendo.

but...vst3 on mine says 2.4 despite roli connect still complaining.

I'm using a PC and it shows correctly in Roli Connect and in my DAW.

Yea mh my pc was, it was only roli connect on the mac that had the issue.

Clearly, the Roli Connect installation process has issues on Monterey. I've done some "exploring" and found that in fact, the v2.4 rpkg file downloads correctly (so the files one needs to manually update are available). It's just something in the process of placing those files from the .rpkg file, is not working in ROLI Connect. I did manually install the update, by expanding the .rpkg file, then placing the files/folders as the folder structure denotes in the unarchived image. Really pretty easy - includes only the stand-alone app, the AU and VST3 plugins, and the factory lib folders. v2.4 working fine here now (though ROLI Connect still thinks 2.3.0 is installed, like others are experiencing). If you want the details on where the files/folders are to manually install, let me know. Otherwise, one would hope and expect ROLI to fix this soon.

Just worked for me on Big Sur so I guess that narrows it down

Why? It's not something I'd even think to ask, much less worry about.

More importantly, the update worked flawlessly on my Proper Computer (PC), as you'd expect. In fact, it onlt took mere seconds to download and install and the update is kinda nice, if ultimately cosmetic.
