I have a Double Knot v2 and I love it. The v3 version fixes the one thing I don't like about the V2 and that is that the VCAs are not patchable... but it also gets rid of the clock divider and XOR logic, which is kinda weird. I find those very useful. The Double Knot's shift registers are super useful in a larger banana based synth. I'm currently obsessed with making Rungler like patches.pekbro wrote: Fri Jul 29, 2022 8:11 pm Cool, live streaming, hi-tech. As for the beast synth, I'm thinking about one of these.
Because i just don't have enough requirements for different cable types.

I've cancelled my Thomann order. They wanted me to wait 6-8 weeks for the East Beast and pay more than Juno (who promise next day delivery). Ordered The Beast & Pest (plus cables) tonight via Juno for £207.99 and £210 plus £15 for a pair of long (3m) audio leads. Cheers vurtvurt wrote: Fri Jul 29, 2022 8:27 pm pretty sure i paid 209 for the beast and 213 or something for the pest?
id have to check to be honest.

Missed the stream but will check it out if you’re keeping the recording upvurt wrote: Fri Jul 29, 2022 7:41 pm not to blow my own trumpet, but anyone (im looking at you elxsound) is on the fence about the beast, and already owns a strega and mimeopone, you could do a lot worse than check out my latest live stream (now)
its happening now, while im here typing
the beast sequencing itself and stregas delay, in to mimeophone, so im sitting back and enjoying it too![]()
Might knock out early but will check out. Still putting the place back after the ceiling collapse (no significant damaged and no injuries, just time and energy lost).
I do want both, but I’m over budget on the genelec’s. I can’t wait to find out if they ship them out or not. If they ship, I’ll start looking for the 7040a subwoofer.

You and Shabdahbriah. Damn, I've got to resist buying (for now), but I can easily see how this could fit alongside how I'll use them.vurt wrote: Fri Jul 29, 2022 10:26 pm yeah it will be there whenever you're ready

When I was trying to work out a better desk solution, I wound up getting one of those self-build garage shelving units with the metal struts and mdf type boards. I already have several relatively shallow ones (30cm?) for storage, but this one Its got 5 shelves including the top, and is pretty deep (60cm) about as deep as the computer desks I have. Its also wide enough to sit my Remote61 keyboard on.vurt wrote: Fri Jul 29, 2022 8:06 pm well the current one and the last now
also, had a great idea re tables and space...
a table that will go under this one
"they" dont call me a genius for nothing!!!
The way Ive got it set up is the middle 'main' shelf is at normal desk height, (with two shelves underneath for storage for pedals, and desktop toys like the Weevils and things), then a big vertical space until the next shelf at eye height, where Ive put a couple of video mixers, and then the top one at about 6ft, high enough to sit a couple of cheapo projectors facing the modular on the opposite desk, and store some more stuff.
It kinda looks like it restricts the space I have in the studio because of the corner struts, but it actually gives me a lot of 'working surface' and storage.
My other desk surfaces are pretty much 'fixed' in terms of what's on them, like the modular and bugmod, and the fact that that stuff is all 'plumbed in', so this one is for more temporary sets of stuff.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

shelves is possible, and i didn't even think of such a thing.
maybe im not such a genius after all
might blame the wasp sting for distraction!!
there's no real rush tbh, was thinking last night, when the pests arrive, i should spend some time again, using what i have, until something is "missing" that i wish to achieve.
not like i dont have enough things to be learning, with video now as well.
although, let's see how long sense prevails
