Sounds like OS issues, installs and works great in Win10 64bit.

seems to be an issue with monterey (and ventura), and roli support is now aware of it. if i get any helpful info, will post here asap.

other roli apps will install, so seems specific to equator2...

Install worked without any problem here with an M1 MacBook running Monterey 12.5. Maybe the problem is Intel Mac only?
None of the added stuff is really exiting to me - reading the change log I was hoping that they added the moving dot animation for their transfer functions as well, which would have been really helpful for me. But I am glad to see development is still active at all.

In the meantime I got a reply from ROLI support that they are aware of the problem and are working on it - and as a workaround advised me to do an install of ROLI connect in another account of macOS Monterey and start the update from this other account, which worked. Now also in my main account ROLI connect lists version 2.4 now.

Roli Connect just doesn't seem to be working for me now on Windows 10. It comes up, tells me I have updates, when I click on anything it then simply freezes. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing. It worked before. Seems that the Firewall allowed it to connect.

that doesn't work here. in my main account, the install instantly fails. in a 'test admin' account, it downloads EQ2... then fails. aaargh (i am on the ventura beta tho)...

One question guys, Equator can be used with normal midi keyboard, i mean the mpe functions can be automated in some way??.

Yes you can use it as a normal synth. There are plenty of non-mpe patches as well. Pressure can be polyphonic aftertouch instead, and slide and glide will just not be usable mod sources.

Make sure you logout of Roli connect completely, relogin seems to fix the updater, that seems to fix update weirdness on Win10.

Absolutely. Equator2 is compatible with normal midi keyboards. It even has more non-MPE presets than MPE presets. Equator2 makes it very easy to switch from the MPE state to the Standard state. You simply toggle the MPE/Standard switch and the whole topology of the synth changes. So if all you want is the Standard (normal MIDI keyboard compatibility) mode, that's what you select and the GUI hides all MPE related stuff, all the 'dimensions' and presents in their place normal MIDI controllers (mod-wheel, aftertouch, etc).

I find the sound of the unison and detuning(making supersaws or anything else unison) terrible. There is a retrigger/free function missing in the wavetable section. Other than that i love the synth
