I’m working on a sci-fi themed rail shooter game and there’s a moment where you’re teleported to the area where you’re tasked to control a laser turret. (Phaser?
) I want a Star Trekesque transporter sound, but I’m having trouble figuring out how to get there. I want to get as close as possible, but then keep going to get something that is a nod to the original, but also unique. Any tips?

I’m not sure you understand my request. I’m trying to recreate this myself and change it up to be a bit unique as well.CHOOS wrote: Sun Jul 31, 2022 4:42 pm any of the ones in this any good?

yeah I understand but there's a lot of varieties so if you can pick one and I can help recreate it.
I'm off to work now but can have a look tomorrow.

As I recall, the transporter in the original series was a chord played on an organ with a ring mod effect (probably layered with a couple other things), and then for the movies, they used a similar effect with harps. For TNG, they used a Fairlight for a lot of their effects, so if you've got the Arturia CMI, you could probably get some passably similar shimmery tones.
