Aye. It's like a pound shop makes more profit than the designer clothes shop two streets away. Or something. They're quality plugs and yeah they're probably make more selling many units cheaply than at a price no-one would pay, especially being the primary 'creative' plugs on PA. So I'm sure they'll be okay :)

You can sell 1 product for $1000 or 1000 products for $1 at the end the money is the same. What does matter is your target market and marketing image. Specifically do you have 1000 potential customers who would buy it?? However, if you do, that low, low pricing will certainly affect your company image. Given the context of how much plugins sell for these days.

Which is probably why most devs seem to shoot for middle ground and would prefer to sell 10 plugins at $100 euphemistically speaking.

Yes, indeed!
They are modern, unique and comprehensive.
It's a real pity that they are quite devalued by the pricing / marketing strategies of Plungin Alliance. They are worth far more than the flash sale and second hand market prices.
Before they joined PA they were selling their plugins for $19 each ... I bought G8 and Sandman from them back then.
didn't know that, i discovered unfiltered audio when they were at PA, now, 2 years ago, i think, i guess.
i have them all, because, they simply work for my the kind of music i make.

unfiltered audio, by the way, has also RE's for reason, bundles for VCV rack and, quite new, a small bundle for voltage modular, dent/indent/fusion. what is fusion? it is based on the algorythmic mixer of LION. (and of course the reaktor blocks/packs, but they are made by michael hetrick, has made also stuff for VCV and VM).

They just joined the Voltage Modular environment with a bundle of 3 awesome modules for just $20 during intro. Which I think is a good move. While Hetrick himself has been there for a while. Imho their products are very suitable in a modular environment.

I don't see the presets in Zip in NI Maschine or Bitwig 4 - Does anyone know this problem and possibly have the solution? Thanks

I can see the presets in Zip fine in Bitwig 4 - they appear in exactly the same place in the GUI as they do in other DAWS. I do - however - have issues with not seeing the presets in other plugin-alliance plugins.

I lost most of my UA presets in a recent PA update and PA Support says they are aware of the issue and are working with UA on it. A workaround was to install the previous version from the individual effect's PA website and then the individual effect's current version. A little bit of a PITA but it worked.

MANY vst3s dont have any option in its gui to show presets AND in the live11 device gui. theyre only listed in the pluginbrowser. the vst2 versions at least show the preset dropdown lsit in the device section.
some of these vst3 versions arent shown correctly in their popup window, the guis are mostly too big and get cut right and down side by the UNRESIZABLE window ^^

its really mysterious how this can pass any quality control. and there is no other plugins showing that sort of probs.^^

on the other hand unfiltered audio plugins just work PERFECT

I blame the PA installation packages for the preset thing, they suck and often don't install anything. No installation options on the manager and it closes it's console windows before you can even get a look at what's going on. They say it's a bug they are working on, I can say they've been working on it for at least 3 years and they haven't updated the preset archive in who knows how long.

Anyway, you can get the presets from UA if you ask them, pretty sure. One thing to try is the individual installers from PA, they will at least install the presets in the Programdata (windoze) folder, which both vst2 and 3 can use.

Tails is an intriguing reverb. There's a couple of useful, unique features in that one. Especially how you can set the timing of when to clear the buffer so it doesn't smear one bar into another potentially producing nasty dissonant moments. More common with longer reverb tails.

Ummm... pun not intended.

One of the better developers making unique and creative FX IMO.
I'll definitely check out anything they come out with.

Unfiltered Audio - Needlepoint (Q4/22)
Needlepoint is a physically-modeled vinyl simulator with unparalleled accuracy. Use it for instant mood and explore many retro-flavored compressor algorithms.
Could be interesting.

Yeah I remember an email; or a post by Plugin Alliance mentioning an incoming vinyl simulator from UA. If it's like everything else they do, it will also have some less conventional features as well, which seem like an exciting prospect.

I was researching modulated distortion plugs, looking at Output Thermal and Minimal Audio Rift 2 when I came across Dent 2. For what I've been looking for it's brilliant. Love the sound and modulation options. Like it much more than Trash 2. Because they have no demos I haven't tested Thermal or Rift yet.
