Hi all,
I have a gaming keyboard, and I have assigned some of its macro buttons (G1, G2 etc.) to some functions in Studio One (like load Fabfilter Pro-Q to selected channels, set quantization etc.) but It takes a lot of space on the desk because it's bulky, I will get a minimalist keyboard but I know I will need macro keys.
I want a button controller, that has 8 buttons and the ability to have different banks, maybe like 2 banks so I will have 16 buttons in total or some kind of modifier key (shift, ctrl) to assign multiple functions to the same button. I don't know if it should send MIDI CC signal or just buttons press like F13, F14, etc., because I don't know if macros in Studio One can launch with CC signal, I don't think so.
I know there is a stream deck but it's expensive for the thing I want, so what can I use?

Look for 'Keypads', either 'Gaming' or 'Macro'
Ive got an old Belkin Nostromo, now made by Razor I believe.
(also if you're tech-savvy, you could build your own based on an Arduino or whatever. Some of them are even reprogrammable in microPython, like this one.

An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."
