Hi,
I have been trying to figure this out for a while here is the idea:
Lets say I have a vsti like NI's Battery loaded into a midi track. Now on that track I am running a midi loop that is playing your typical kick snare kick snare combo.
Heres where it gets interesting I want to be able to make a new midi loop on a seperate midi track for hihats, which I will then route to the midi track that is running Battery. I want to do this so I can bring in and drop out the different drum parts on the fly while the song is being recorded.
The problem is I can't get both tracks to play at the same time even though they are on 2 seperate tracks.
Heres what I have figured out. When I have the auto swith enabled I can here the midi loop on the Battery track. When I have the ON switch enabled I can here Battery playing back the midi loop on the routed track.
Is there a way to play both midi loops at the same time?
Thanks
Live4-Multiple Midi loops on seperate midi tracks to 1 VSTi?

Use Battery as a multi-out... that should do the same thing I think...

Yes you can, use another midi and under the monitor switch, it's marked midi to: just select the battery midi track and under that, the appropriate vsti channel output.
I'm doing it right now with kontakt so I figure it works with battery. On the second midi track, I choose midi to: 3-midi and under that 1-kontakt
btw both midi tracks's monitor switch is at auto
