Could be side panels view but that doesnt explain blanked out shapes? Thanks for replies though :)

I think the "blanked out" area in the first photo is a cutout for a connector, and the white area on the second looks like part of a logo or model number. Neither resembles the Mk3, the bottom panel of which is strongly tapered inward. (I'm assuming the photo is oriented right way up.) I don't think it's a Mk2 either, but haven't much experience with them and closeup photos of it aren't as plentiful online.

[edit] And whoever opened it reeeally needed a spudger! Barbarian.

So i think photos are fully zoomed in and dark square is kensington lock and white is corner of Novation logo. I’m paying for repair but not totally happy as “main board” fault is also vague.
Can I ask for faulty board back also? is that within my rights?

I’m going to go back to the operation side of things for now:

I have preordered a Keystep Pro to be able to sequence stuff live and made a terrible mistake - started watching SL mk3 videos on the side 🥺 loving the ability to record 8 tracks of automation per part on board! Anyone had a chance to use it with iOS apps though hooked up to an ipad? I’m doing most of my stuff nowadays on my ipad and would like to know if I’ll be able to see parameters of ios synths and samplers I’m using on the mk3? Or at least of random vst’s in case I’m sequencing stuff in Ableton as well (not in incontrol mode). thx!

Hi
Anybody can help me to solve integrate mapping control between Novation 49SL MKIII and Cubase 12 pro
Not all keys novation can be learned in cubase midi remot
ex. knops and faders can learn and respond in cubase. But Button and trigger pad and transport do not respond when I try to learn with cubase.
I have a sample video I record it explaine the issue
Sorry .. This is the first time I participating in this forum and I don't know where to post my problem in the forum
Thanx

Are you sure you set up the keyboard correctly? As far as I can see, the transport controls and some other controls can be set up for "InControl" (whatever that ist), or for use with the Maeckie HUI protocol.

Make sure to read how you set up the keyboard in your DAW (from page 30 on): https://fael-downloads-prod.focusrite.c ... nglish.pdf

I have no idea how that InControl thing works, by the way. Might be something proprietary from Novation. Not sure how to set that up in Cubase or any other DAW.

Thanx for the replay ,, I setup midi keyboards controller in cubase 12 pro now it's very simple only you You just move the keys in the controller and the Cubes reads the key and respond it. I did a search and watched a lot of videos on the integration between the controller and Qbiz, which is a very simple process. But what happens to me is that the Kirby recognizes some keys in the controller, and some even respond to them.
I think there is something wrong with me that I don't know until now.

I'll try again: Did you set up your controller according to what is written in the manual on the page I posted above? It's important. The transport controls and some other stuff won't work if you don't set it up correctly, as they're not normal MIDI CC controls (unless they can be set up to act like these, which I don't know is possible with this keyboard).

Do exactly what it says in the manual, or you won't solve your problem.

I have done the steps of setup the controller several times by following more than one video step-by-step with cubase DAW, witch are simple and uncomplicated steps by following the video without any change. After completing the adjustment steps, I find the same unresolved problem. The topic needs someone who has the same cubase DAW with the same controller

Last try: Have you done exactly what is written in the official manual of your keyboard, which I linked to above?
