Nice! Did you rearrange it?
Cheers ... yes, I spent a few weeks re-arranging things to be more "ergonomic". Not easy with so much desktop gear. I've found a good spot for the East Beast behind the Reminder (for now). :ud:

What keyboard is that one? It looks like it doesn't have all the excess (for me) controls above the keys.

It's a nektar
It just has a few above the wheels

I know it's a question for TCC, but I need to hi-jack it all the same!

Is there a way to have a synced LFO on East Beast? I see mention of the multi with a clocked LFO, but not much more. Reading the manual for the LFO I see there's no other input beside the knob and changing the voltage from high to low (2 to 500Hz + 41 seconds to 5 Hz), but no sync options.

It's not crucial since ideally, I'm using this with everything else, but I'm just wondering if I'm missing something.

Is it the Impakt series? How do you like the keys? Semi-weighted, I think?

no worries, i asked you in the other thread :)

tbh i don't know, not something ive ever looked for personally.
but yeah, i have noticed no input for lfo control of speed, just the knob or two ranges.

I like the keys way more than the M Audio. It's impakt. I remember specifically wanting a decent set of at least 49 keys, but not too pricey

You just reminded me that I still have my old Axiom 25 keys.
My 88 key controller is on its way out. I was thinking maybe I could use the Opsix temporarily but I’ve seen consistent negative feedback about those keys.

I’ll take a look at the Nektar Impakt line.

I only played it through Strega yesterday but tonight I’ll hook it up through the other effects. They did a great job with this.

I’m impressed by what you get for the price. The sequencer/arp is cleverly thought out with interactions and building from an arp into a sequence. 32 steps is twice as much, as many more expensive synths.
The squelchy resonant filter that can be tamed to buttery smooth is great. I love the width control but don’t understand what it’s doing especially considering it’s mono, but yet sounds thicker.

I’m impressed. Even the graphics are growing on me. I like that they really leaned into this design as opposed to making something cheesy by accident. The sticker is an ice touch! I was never really that concerned with the graphics but I’m getting used to it.

Its hard to say anything negative because of what it costs.

pretty much my thoughts too.
while it isn't a powerhouse do everything synth with all the bells and whistles, what you do get for the price is pretty amazing, and i love the filter and oscillator switching. that's something new to me.

the width is pulse width for the square which using one of the combination oscillators sounds pretty sweet 8)

The Opsix keyboard isn't particularly bad...it's just your average bog standard non-weighted thing that most other synths have but without aftertouch. It's probably marginally better than my Behringer ones, ever-so-slightly worse then my old Wavestation one, comparable to most other Korg ones and old Roland's. Definitely not a controller keyboard if you're a piano player type though. It's definitely better than my DX100...but kids toys are, so that's not saying much :hihi:

Yeah, that’s what I’ve been picking up on. Fingers crossed, Opsix will arrive on Wednesday. From what people describe I’m guessing it’s barely better than the Roland Boutique keyboards, except for being full sized. I mean I can make it so what I need on those, but it’s not ideal.

I desperately need to get inside a real music store. That’s what has held me up so far. I’m not a pianist but I’ve played this fully weighted hammer action board for the last 15 years and I don’t know what I’m okay living with for a replacement.

Also I’ve seen some decent DIY Opsix desktop conversions. I’d love a wood enclosure to replace the plastic one, but I doubt anyone is going to make one available to purchase.
