Looking to buy one, but after reading the manual I cannot determine if it will send the drum note data out the MIDI ports?

I see in the MIDI Spec it supposedly can, however there is nothing definitive in the manual.

Are there any users here who can confirm this please?

BK7m? Ah, an "arranger" module.
No, these typically keep all their midi notes to themselves. You cannot, like, connect it to another drum thingamabob that then will take over the role of its internal drum sample kit.

Not as compact, but look at Medeli AKX10

Same price range as I could find in a quick check.

Korg and Yamaha also has several in or below that price range. But in the end it's quality of sounds that matter too, so don't expect $3000 arranger quality maybe like new Korg PA5X.

Don't know how Korg i3 compare for one, very cheap, $400 or so.
