I believe 'Forbidden Planet' is one of the latest EW libraries. It's got a ton of pads, drones and synths that you can change beyond recognition in real time. It's an awesome library especially for soundtracks and anything that requires a huge modern sound.

One thing I will say is that everything sounds good, and soon you find yourself in a wall of sound. It most certainly requires mixing skills beyond beginner or even average ... . It is a lot of fun. Even a single preset by itself takes you to 'forbidden' places!

$179.55 on JJR, not to bad...but you have to really like old analog spacey sounds I think to drop for this, especially if you have a Kontak as there are a lot of these 'merge between 2 samples' instruments included.

That said, the sounds in the videos from this thing to sound epic...I would enjoy playing with it, but unless I was soring movies (obviously what this is aimed at), I am not sure I would find much use for it.

Edit use GROUP on JJR and its 160 something...watched a few videos, more tempted now!

I found that JJR deal too. I got this instead of upgrading to Komplete 14. I'm a super novice but I've had some fun with it making "cinematic cyberpunk"?. I find it really easy to get lost into with hours passing like nothing, which is my gold standard for a good music tool. Probably wouldn't be the case for everyone, but I'm loving it.

It's strange, I'm using what is to me super futuristic technologies (couldn't imagine these tools in the 90s) to write the 80s idea of what futuristic music sounds like, using emulations of 60s and 70s instruments.
