Hey,

What free or paid sample managers do you recommend? I need to be able to quickly browse my samples, organize, save to favorites and add to project.

ADSR Sample Manager (Freeware) is very well maintained through updates. Constant feature expansions are also part of the process. I like it a lot. Comes standalone and plugin. Just drag and drop into your DAW. Also possible with the plugin (tempo synced) preview loops (with tempo stretch option) before drag/drop.

Edit: Some info additions.

ADSR was already mentioned, so I will toss in Waves Cosmos. $14.99 With coupon COSMOS1499

Another +1 for AudioFinder, I couldn't live without it nowadays. I have a feeling its author has abandoned it though so be wary (rumor is he went to work for Twitter or something?).
The tagging functions leaves a lot to be desired, its all AudioFinder's internal database. Nothing actually gets embedded in your files for other apps to use, but the browser/preview itself is awesome and at the same time its a full on audio editor. Makes chopping/trimming/looping/processing/splitting/etc samples and organizing things all in one spot so simple. Uses AU's and VSTs, some Finder/Logic Pro/Pro Tools integration features, can even let you use SoX for running whatever complex conversion stuff you might need. Its pretty neat.

Its kinda like the ADSR Manager combined with Ocen Audio. Not as full featured an editor as say Wavelab, but its got a lot you can do.

It refuses description, allowing only the vague approach of adjectives: dark, light, raw, angelic. Who or what is making these noises? Where are they coming from and what do they point to? What kind of entity can leave such a troubling sonic remnant?
