Monterey actually improved compatibility. There are a number of plugins that do not work right in Big Sur, but work fine in Monterey.

I love Monterey OS it's insanely fast and responsive!
The next time I update I'll do clean install though - Big Sur to Monterey could have added to the laptop feeling slow, among loads of vst installations and deletions until I found what I needed.
Monterey with a clean install is 100%
