I’ve really been loving Arturia’s Fragments. Actually, all their effects are very good and the non-emulations have a lot of fun features that make them very useful for getting creative. Highly recommended.

yeah, curious about this as well! really like fragments, but generally not too interested in emulation type effects. i see they also have a "creative delay" which sounds somewhat interestingmelomood wrote: Tue Aug 09, 2022 2:25 pm I'm curious, since they did fragments, will they have something else in the same vein coming soonish

The Windows version is now there, FYI.
This thing is a lot of fun! It really shines when you feed an expressive monophonic source into the effect version, though I wouldn't call any of the models convincingly realistic. Playing around with the "tone box" gives some great timbre variations for unreal sounds, though. It seems a bit rough around the edges (and kind of a CPU hog), but I could see this technology developing into something really amazing.

Nah. I do as well. Though I know many who say "gooey". I prefer jee-you-eye.melomood wrote: Tue Aug 09, 2022 5:13 pm Sweet........and....am I the only person thinking 'jee-you-eye' when I read GUI?

There was an amazing suite of plugins by a French company, but I can't remember their name. One of the plugins was called Evolve. It was all FFT stuff I believe, spectral effects and such, really nice interfaces and they sounded great but I recall them being really CPU heavy at the time and they didn't seem to get updated as time went on.

Some of the plugins in the suite weren't all that, but some of them were amazing, like Grinder.
They are not M1 Native by the looks of it, but they are on ilok soft-key now I think. I'd love to have these again, but I doubt I'd spend that kind of money on them anymore.
Another one is of course meta-synth, but I never for the life of me could get comfortable using it for very much. I just found it impenetrable and could never find a tutorial that made it click. If anyone can break it down for me, what exactly is it capable of?

They have a reverb and a delay that don’t emulate anything. They’re not super feature rich, but they have some extra stuff that sets them apart from the usual emulations and the quality of the effects is really good.worldfever wrote: Tue Aug 09, 2022 2:10 pmwhat other fx do they have? i just know fragments and their fx collection with like distortion/flanger/filter kind of stuff, am i missing something?zerocrossing wrote: Tue Aug 09, 2022 2:04 pmI’ve really been loving Arturia’s Fragments. And here’s the full list, which all are really good emulations of the original effects.

Yess good stuff! I bought the whole collection at some point, seems to work somewhat on M1, but not all of them...Aiynzahev wrote: Wed Aug 10, 2022 1:54 am There was an amazing suite of plugins by a French company, but I can't remember their name.
