Lounge Lizard for noodling that might end up as a song. Always my first call.
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Sadly, I had to replace it in something yesterday because it just wasn't pulling its weight. There is definitely something special about Model 84, though, you just need to find what it does best. I ended up with Saurus on that part, after trying 3 or 4 other synths, but I also ended up turning it up heaps and putting Tarabia Pro on it (I don't like the "TUBE" effect in Saurus at all). So tonight I'm going to go back to an older version and see if maybe adding Tarabia to Model 84 and turning it up will pump it up enough.

I installed Union yesterday despite having owned a license for quite a while, it sounds good even if it is heavy on CPU but in FL Studio the GUI has a huge black box extending out from one corner, In Reaper it's fine. I hope some kind of fix is on the way but it will probably be a while.

On the software side, I've never actually counted but I'm sure it's a toss-up between Omnisphere and Lounge Lizard, but I use hardware far more often these days. The Virus TI2 (61 key) was my main instrument and MIDI controller for over a decade and probably my most used synth ever. I sold it when we moved a few years ago, but recently bought a TI v1 (61 key) that is now my main controller. but so far, it's not my most used synth because I tend to use all my hardware synths pretty equally.

A load of old E-MU modules that hold up really well! Doesn't have all the fancy bits of omnisphere which I use a lot too but with good audio manipulation you can work serious wonders!
