Am interested in checking out vArranger software for obtaining arrangements that are the ones made available for Yamaha or other arranger keyboards. There does not seem to be any trial offered. I would like to see a manual to see how it works. I used to use Jammer Pro for automatic arrangements after inserting the chords, like BIAB. I did not have to play a musical keyboard to insert the chords. I wonder if I could do the same with vArranger just by typing them in, and if it would be possible to import a melody as a midi file.
And do you know if the developer is still offering it?
Thanks in advance.

I was sorely disappointed with vArranger. Band in a box is in a class all it's own even when using the midi based styles or real styles.

If you are looking for backing packs with combi's for arranger style keyboards.... well that depends on the keyboard. There are many free and pay soundpacks and songs available for various workstation keyboards.
I have a Korg Krome and a favorite of mine is http://kromeheaven.com/krome-stuff/krom ... bi-pack-v7

These sound designers and arrangement designers usually work within the workstation environment to create the sequence. If you aren't into real time recording many have built in step sequencing remember that many have built in quantization.

It's a lot of time and work to scratch build songs in auto accompaniment systems. Expect to go down the rabbit hole for long periods of time. Nonetheless once familiar with the process you won't be looking for daw applications to try and build sequences.

vArranger2 is a software you don't want to use and is developed by a guy named DAN who you really don't want to deal with.
I own the software. I was hesitating to purchase it for a long time because of the price. I got an ebay deal for half the price - $175. Software is full of bugs. GUI is terrible and very old like from ATARI or AMIGA. You need a dongle USB to run it.
Development of this software is very fishy. There is no information about current version, there is no version history. There are no updates. The developer is a one man band. There is no real company behind it. My usb was dying and developer refused to help. He wanted to charge extra money even he charged the seller $50 for license transfer. There is no software you can download. There is no link. I basically wasted $175.
I strongly suggest avoiding this software at all costs. Now I can not even sell it...
On one occasion I could not start the software. I had remote session with the developer that is recorded. It took him almost one hour to start the software.
The whole session was about allowing threats to the system and making exclusions in windows defender. There were so many detections that is hard to believe. Every file was either trojan or virus and serious/severe one.
It is completely unreliable, and I would never use it for live performances. I could go on and on and keep writing. Just go the varranger forum and you will see how many people he lied to and how many things he promised regarding this software and future updates years ago and nothing happened. It is dead software that should be available for free and as beta version
