I put certain tracks into a group channel in Cubase. Now, I don't want the group channel, but I can't figure out how to remove the group channel or take the tracks out of the group channel. If I simply delete the group channel, the tracks don't have any sound anymore. What's going on?

Is there a special button to remove tracks from group channel or something?

Are group channels permanent and irrevocable?

Above the channels themselves is the routing dropdown - standard routing is to "Stereo Out". You will have changed that at some point to whichever group channel. Just go back and change the routing back to "Stereo Out" and it takes the channel out of the group. You can delete the group channel same way you delete any other channel.
