A few months ago I entered the world of recreating sounds, especially percussive ones, and I would like to know if someone could guide me on how to recreate a kick drum similar to the one in this song. It's a kick that sounds like a 909 but at the same time I feel a touch like an acoustic kick with a lot of punch. What you do guys think?

i only use MuLab, any chance of some clearer instructions on this or point to something that helps with designing a stomping kick please... :D

Hi sorry for the late reply!
Appreciate the help if you have time though.
As for which part, well I've not really delved into sound design much before, though I know the very basics, but my attempts to create any kind of decent kick has resulted in failure! I just can't seem to get anywhere with it.

Even after reading several guides online. but the lack of step by step examples showing which kinds of sounds work best to produce the three parts of a kick. I thought about purchasing Sinee VST but MuLab doesn't work with VST3 yet.

Others don't seem as good, but I also would like to learn how to use samples and beef those up from scratch. If this is too much for you to personally advise on, I understand, but if you know of a good site, that would great :tu:
