technically it would be the same like opening multiple instances. You dont save any CPU, and it makes things complicated... a GUI which has to display several presets, automation data for multiple presets (could even come to the limit, which is possible per instance), managing multi outs etc... better use independent instances for layering

One thing, it would be cool to have some kind of LOCK function? e.g. you lock the Arp or layer and then scroll through other presets and then you got the ARP setting with the new preset etc.

You can lock it, just hit the 3 little dots in the top right of the arp page. I can understand you not knowing it's there though, I've got no idea why its so convoluted to get to. Just put a little lock icon that we can switch on and off top right?Caine123 wrote: Fri Aug 12, 2022 11:00 am One thing, it would be cool to have some kind of LOCK function? e.g. you lock the Arp or layer and then scroll through other presets and then you got the ARP setting with the new preset etc.

I am curious, what makes Nexus worth the price. There doesn't seem to be a demo but it seems popular, so there must be something compared to say Omnisphere and Falcon (which also have no demos but I still bought them both!). Unlike Omni and Falcon It doesn't seem to have any synthesis at all- does it just play back samples (a true romper, not a hybrid)? If so, I guess it must all be about the quality of the 'packs' (@ £60 each), so is it based around fast production ready sounds for people who don't want to create their own?
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I would say you are spot on.
Not everyone enjoys, loves, sees the need to, wants to do sound design.. some just want a sound, maybe minor tweaking of it and record.

I don't believe it is worth the price, at least not in the last 5 or 6 years. 12 years ago it might of been worth it due to the quality of the presets, and obviously there wasn't as much choice back then. The same people that heralded nexus as brilliant 12 years ago (I was one of them) would be the same people that raved about massive 8 years ago, and serum in the last few years. I'd guess the majority of people who still use nexus were using it years ago and just stick with what they know. Put it this way, if nexus was newly released today, i doubt they'd sell more than a handful of copies. Harsh but true.SLiC wrote: Mon Aug 15, 2022 11:28 am I am curious, what makes Nexus worth the price.
