Heheh... I was a few beers in when I wrote that and was struggling to find the words.

I've not used it in anger on full mixes, but for adding sparkle in the high end, and growl in the low end of individual instruments, it's pretty sweet.

Would be great if we could solo the bands by a keyboard shortcut like in the Equalizer plugin. The actual monitoring section feels a bit oldschool.

Pulled the plug and bought plugin. Going through all my projects and putting it on master, and it’s made each one sound fuller, and gives it a sweet sound. Only one song didn't benefit from it, but put it on a synth so it looks like itll see a lot of use. :) The only thing I see is that it colors the sound quite fast when using it on master and end up putting the mix level anywhere from 1-5%. I A/B it with no mix and with 100%, when it sounds “better” I just pull the mix down to keep most of original sound but with a touch of the magic it does. Width, range, and timbre settings are pretty low or completely off. Bass/mid/treble settings are at around 75-100%. But this is on master bus so little movements affect whole mix. Try 1-2% mix on master.

Honestly, I think this plugin is utterly underrated. It really changes the sound (for the better or the worse, depending on the skills of the user...) but it really can make a difference. I'm using it on the drum bus and it's helping a lot making them more punchy and clear at the same time... it goes without saying that it must be handled with care (the "mix" knob is the one to use wisely).

Am I the only one?

100% agree. I use Enhancer all the time. Great for adding some sheen / presence to a synth or bringing out some sub type low frequencies in a kick (two ways i often use it).

I think one of the turnoffs for some people is just how and when to use it. Its not as intuitive as most other TB's plugins IMO.

And... maybe a few noticed but the price has dropped to 19€ - was much more in the beginning if I remember well.
I'll try it again for a while but if it's up to what I'm seeing now this price is a no-brainer. And it's not a sale price (no, I'm not an affiliate).

Well, thanks for resurrecting this old thread and making me re-demo Enhancer… I still do not understand how to really operate this (and the manual isn’t too helpful, either), but just throwing some presets on a drum bus and electric bass made it sound so immediately finished without fiddling around with EQ and comps, felt like cheating. And I just bought MBC, but the price is a steal.

I am glad this thread exists because when I first opened this plugin last week and started clicking around I was like wtf am I even doing?

Appreciate those who explained how to use it. Super intuitive now, and I love the results.

Price went up on this one, though, it seems!

Anyway, this and apulSoft's Opalize are my new spiceners on Linux.

There's a nice user manual... not very comprehensive, but why not starting from there?

Thank me later :D

Didn't get me all the way there. Needed some of these posts to fully get it.

I'm not sure I understand. It's on their product page, bottom part. No need to login, the PDF link is there... :)

What I meant was:

[The manual, which I have already read] didn't get me there [to a state of understanding]. I needed to read the posts of this thread to understand the plugin. There is another post above from someone saying the manual wasn't adequate, as well.

I am aware that most publishers will have their manual at the bottom of the page for the product, or maybe in the download file.

Last, I am glad we kept up the tradition of KVR where if you post, it has to be followed by a post of someone trying to correct your thinking, and then at least 2 more confused posts going back and forth. We did it.

Anyway, best to you. I know you had good intentions...i think.

It's a good plugin! Like someone else also said in this thread, cool on synths!

I had good intentions for sure. Simply, I'm not first citizen with English, sorry about that.
And, I found the enhancers very good in bringing texture out of drums and drum loops.
Just fiddled with it a bit... :)
