Analog Sound Box for Roland JD-Xi

Does anyone use Roland JD-Xi in the DAW?
(How or for what?)

Is this a trick question?

It's a synthesiser. You can either a) record and program midi, then record the audio from the part you have in the DAW, or b) you can dare to play the synth and just record the audio you are playing.

What else did you want to do?

well, conceivable
- Audio recording to DAW
- Midi keyboard and outboard ideas
- Program in the JD-Xi and then as Midi in the DAW (if possible?)
- as vocal recording with JD-Xi FX
- Loop audio from the DAW through JD-Xi effects (if possible?)
- and so forth

FWIW, I have a JD-XA and audio and MIDI recording all works great. I haven't tried routing audio through its effects.

Midi signals via USB? In FL Studio I always have to disconnect the USB cable when I want to record the JeDi audio(?), since FL Studio obviously interprets the notes playing as instead of the previously recorded audio (sample).
Although I have the correct midi settings (midi out), the recording of sounds from the JeDi favorites works. but a synthsound is always played with drum sounds of the JeDi, although I only have the drums active in the JeDi.
(If you have 4 minutes, I would also have a question video )
