Early Midiverb emulations?

Hey folks.
Anyone heard of a VST that can emulate a midiverb I or II?
Played with the real midiverb II a little while ago and really loved it, especially some of the "space"y reverbs that don't try to sound like anything in particular, and "bloom"
I know it can be done in an algorithmic reverb, but for ease of use, and inspiration, I'd like to know if there are any pre-existing reverbs out there that can achieve this easily!
Thanks in advance

I wrote a blog post in December of 2010 about using ValhallaShimmer to emulate the Bloom presets from the Midiverb II:

One of these days, I need to fire up the Midiverb II again and see if I can figure out how it ticks. I should note that you can buy an actual Midiverb II for $39 nowadays. I bought mine at a local shop for this price, and there were others in stock at the same price. The Midiverb II algorithms are time-invariant, so impulse responses would do a good job of capturing the basic sound. Still, it might be fun to create updated versions of the Midiverb II algorithms with time variation, adjustable reverb times, that sort of thing.

There is nothing in software quite like it. Fortunately, you can buy the real thing for about 50 bucks usd.

Thanks for your input folks.
I guess I'll just have to buy one.
Can't say it's that bad because it's probably more inspiring in its ugly hardware form, but I would love having unlimited instances
Maybe once I get my act together I'll have a go at recording some IR's as well.

Theres an emulation here

no idea how it compares with the hardware.

Isn’t goodhertz megaverb supposed to emulate the midiverb 2?

It's my understanding it's supposed to be in the same "general ballpark", although not a direct emulation.masterhiggins wrote: Sat Aug 20, 2022 2:12 am Isn’t goodhertz megaverb supposed to emulate the midiverb 2?
A well-behaved signature.

I gave this one a proper demo last night and really like it. I don't have the new UBERVERB plugin to compare it to, but I think I'll end up pulling this trigger on MDR from Korneff. Already supports M1 Mac and PC's and seems to do all the MIDIVerb stuff with, what I think is the original MIDIVerb mode (Machine 1) and then the MIDIVerb 2 mode (Machine 2).dmbaer wrote: Thu Aug 25, 2022 8:08 pm This is what you may be looking for:
