Relevant for the continuous transition of their software to Steinberg Licensing.

So as a user and purchaser of Padshop Pro, I find this quite an insult tbh
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

I presume they don’t mean Padshop 2?

Padshop and Padshop Pro are both v1.

Sounds like Steinberg is trying to save money (on support), using their new DRM as an excuse (without mentioning it).
Fine for me though, I've never needed technical support (for any software really).

Post

Yeah, I think they mean version 1 of Padshop (Pro).

Would be nonsense to transition products which have a version 2 to the new licensing system. They don't even sell them anymore.

They made it clear that they will only transition supported/still sold products to the new system.

I was referring to some other programs on the list. Cubase 10.5 isn't that old...
Also, I didn't say anything about "transitioning to the new licensing system". C11 (old DRM) still gets technical support, C10.5 doesn't.

10.5 is the penultimate version, released 3 years ago. By their standards, releasing a new version every year, it's old.

Again, though, this list is relevant for the products which are transitioned to Steinberg Licensing, because Steinberg announced some time ago that only products which are still supported are being transitioned, and that will most likely be why they made this announcement.

I highly doubt that Cubase 11 (or Halion 6, or ...) will be transitioned. :scared:
More likely, they were thinking of sound libraries.

Transitioned? They’re changing cubase from male to female? Or vice versa? 😳

Your dictionary is too new, buy an older one.
