Only the biggest optimists will continue to believe that the subscription scheme will not be added to other NI products like Kontakt.
To buy full software (like in the case of Traktor) just to realize that it's not really full and some features are hidden behind a subscription wall is the greatest joke of this century. Good one NI :D
as long as people accept/support it companies & co always continue.
Absolutely. Software companies are changing into feudal lords (v2 digital edition) like in middle-ages. Amateurs can ignore and use free/paid alternatives, professionals can do the same or become feudal peasants ;) Happy times!

I don't really see how adding a limiter (especially one such as Ozone's) to Traktor would be such a great idea for DJ sets.. DJ's tend to screw up their gain staging often enough as it is and now it just gets squashed in to this limiter squashing the music even further..

Let the FOH limiter handle any overs. That's already there anyways..

if they'll offer me a subscription shop like: "get exactly what yo want/need" (in my case: crush pack, raum, guitar rig, massive x and a handful of kontakt libraries)... my ultimate 13 is here in sell/buy forum day one and i'll go subscription.

however, i fear we got a bunch of bullshit-bundles, unecessary "add on" season passes for full-versions or simply "way too much for way too much". in this case, i'll take an one-pay K14U-update over everything...

I'm expecting more stuff from iZotope added to NI plugins. Like they did with Traktor. Why to add something new when you can sell the same thing several times? Of course it's not the case for those who doesn't have anything from iZotope (or PA because they may also mix some algos from PA plugins into NI).

Looks quite promising if well implemented. It would be great to have a slick browser that handles Player and non-Player alike.

Im looking forward to a new version of Kontakt and Komplete Kontrol, lets hope for a Komplete overhaul to the user library/Kontakt Player library system, just because the developer didn't spend extra to get included in their Native Access app shouldn't mean I can't load the library easily, I paid for the Keyboard I paid for the Komplete 13 and I paid for the library I should at least be able to put a library I made with a custom banner in the same location as my Native Access libraries, would it really hurt them financially if they opened that up, I thought the bonus you get when paying extra as a developer was that their library is available thru Native Access and a bigger sales window to way bigger audience.

I really hope this is true ;)

That's interesting, it seems to say that it is now compatible with Hi DPI screens, but doesn't actually say it's resizable. Just that it will "correctly display" on high res screens. Not sure what that means. And it doesn't really give the impression that the GUI was redesigned in a similar way to Guitar Rig for example, which I kinda thought would happen with the next Kontakt.

I'm virtually certain it is. Kontakt 7 is now in beta, and the image feels 100% authentic - stuff like "CHANGED Locate Libraries has been changed to Manage Libraries and redirects to Native Access". A pretty boring fake it would be too - the feature list is not THAT exciting. A new browser, HiDPI (maybe not fully rescalable) and a couple of new effects. Not knocking it through, the first two should be very welcome.

EDIT oh, and the Factory Library 2 I guess it overdue.

Good news, I don’t care too much about HiDPI. It allows to skip an upgrade (or two…)
Lets hope that library creators still support K6… But I have enough of them anyway…

You have to put it in Edit View, but it can be done.

The groove baby, the groove...
