Then my interest in DDMF stuff was gone :-) ...I was healed... :-)
DDMF always been pretty on the ball with bugs tbh. I've owned their stuff for years.

You said you demo'd it, is it better ?
All I can say from my memory that using the demo it was a crashfest with whatever I tried...
And that DDMF does not seem to need to response to people having problems with the demo version...

If I would have to buy one of them, Patchwork would be my first choice even if it´s more expensive.

I guess my next question is, do Bluecat ever have sales ?#

in all honesty, there's absolutely no rush. Its not like Cubase is going VST3 only immediately.

I think have been BlackFriday something 30% off or similar.

VST3 version only works with Cubase just about. VST2 works everywhere I tried though.
VST3 does not show all outs on StudioOne or Sonar to mention some. Or StudioOne nothing happended activating another out pair.

So seems open field how to implement VST3 and midi stuff. Talked to Bluecat for years with no result to fix this.

But definitely Patchwork is way to go. Metaplugin had all kinds of issues as soon as an update old loaded projects crashed loading presets you made before. All flaky which is a pity since establish all midi connection are visual and a bit easier without menu diving in Metaplugin.

PatchWork is pretty awesome as a plugin... But even more so given it's also available as a standalone host.
I was actually so impressed with its capabilities and well designed UI I took it a step forward from its original use case scenario and with a bit of fiddling around I turned the standalone version into a systemwide VST host for my HTPC :ud:
Multichannel (surround) support on the pre and post chains... A perfect candidate!
It took some trial and error trying various ways to make it do stuff it clearly wasn't designed to...
But I finally was able to fill in most of the missing gaps.
Autostart - as a windows service.
Auto minimise to tray on startup and same when clicking X on the app window - instead of the process being terminated as is its default behaviour.
Now, the real time audio processing issue on windows was and still is a challenge to be reckoned with.... Even dedicated DAW machines with proper ASIO driven audio interfaces struggle with DPC glitchery on lower latency settings.
And in any case, ASIO is pretty much useless as a systemwide audio backend...
Only pro audio apps are made to interface with it....
Not to mention the audio stream exclusivity it requires in order to function optimally.
Anyway... cut a long story short I managed to optimise my ancient 4th gen intel HP box which permanently resides next to my TV and AVR down to a very respectable 12ms latency (24bit 48000Hz @5.1 surround).
Quite a few music listening/movie watching enhancing plugs loaded in my franken-patchworks setup lol.
No glitches, pops, crashes... Even with multiple browser tabs open and numerous other stuff running in the backround.
WDM-KS!
Performed significantly better than WASAPI to my surprise...
As far as audio hardware is concerened - NVIDIA GT 1030 HDMI high definition audio plugged into a mature yet very decent Yamaha AVR.
It's hard to believe that even at this day and age (at least to the best of my knowledge) there's basically not one single decent app in existence designed to run as a systemwide VST host (for windows I should note)...
My franken-patchwork is a one of a kind :hihi:

Patchwork will definitely fill your need. But I predict you'll shortly find innumerable other uses for it. I won't be long before you feel the need to prepend "the indispensable" before the plug-ins' name when you talk about it on KVR.

Patchwork has been far more stable on my systems.

here is a trick when ordering bluecat.

use dont crack dot com.

get one of bluecats bundles.

get 4 more discounted things off the hot deals from the dont crack site.

get a 20% discount on everything (already good prices.) also the discounts stack.

this isnt the cheapest option, especially if you only want patchwork (bluecat has other awesome plugins,) but it is a way to get the most bang for your buck.

BlueCat freebie pack has a Gain plugin that is very worthwhile. Can link across tracks and set so that some are inverse of others then automate gain to fade in some sounds as others fade out

http://store.dontcrack.com/product_info ... ts_id=2210

also patchwork by itself is $77, but you can get 20% more off if you buy 4 more plugins... there are some under $20 and even under $10... https://www.dontcrack.com/promotions.php

There os also the open source Kushviev Elements.
I ended up using Voltage Modular with a VST module… I guess VCV would work as well, but gets more expensive. You get so much more though…

Patchwork is looking like the best option. I sent DDMF an email, but nothing back as yet.
