Just to update on my delay pedal hunt, I ended up picking up the NUX NDD-7 which is their digital take on a Space Echo at only $179. it just arrived today and sounds great. Sounds great, way cheaper than the RE-202, has tap tempo, multiple heads, a spring verb, does runaway delays, multiple heads, even looping, and the size was perfect.
My only complaint: the font on the display is ridiculously tiny and the display itself looks like a pixel or two are cropped at the top (like the display was installed too high or something), but otherwise, it's really nice.

There's conflicting information on power requirements depending on where you look: the manual asks for a 300ma power source, somewhere else I read 500ma, but the website says 100-130 ma. I powered it off 100ma just fine, and currently have it plugged into a 250ma slot on my power supply.
For $179, I dig it a lot.

If it is drawing more than 100mA, you will eventually destroy your power supply. Always better to go high. 300mA is a good recommendation.

The specs page on the manual and website both say "Current Draw: 100ma <150ma". The device enclosure has 500ma written on the bottom. And it was a Music Radar review that said 300ma. I'm pretty sure the 250ma output I've currently got it plugged into will be fine. My 500ma outputs are currently in use with higher draw pedals and I don't want to add a second power supply unless absolutely needed as I'm making good use of all the outputs on my current PSU.Uncle E wrote: Sat Aug 20, 2022 2:03 am If it is drawing more than 100mA, you will eventually destroy your power supply. Yes, 250mA is good. Just don’t cut it close.

I'd email NUX and see what they have to say. I always email the pedal maker when I'm not sure about power requirements, and they're usually happy to say what the pedal needs.

Sure. Just so everyone’s clear, you can never feed too much amperage. You won’t damage your equipment by feeding high amperage. Your equipment will only draw what it needs.

Hi Uncle E - I agree - I just check so I don't waste a 500mA tap on a pedal that only needs 10mA

I ended up buying one of those Truetone MA Meters and it works wonderfully.
https://truetone.com/ma-meter/
The Nux NDD-7 only uses 100-101ma. So the 250ma slot it's currently in is plenty. Tested a bunch of other pedals. Was interesting to see how much juice they really need. For $40, seems like a worthwhile device if you have a lot of pedals with dubious power requirements.

So the OBNE Float Stereo filter pedal is pretty dope.
It's not perfect, definitely it could use an ADSR envelope or something. However, for $300, I think you would be hard pressed to find a better HW analog stereo filter.
I was surprised at how small it is (wasn't paying attention to the specs), those with fat fingers might find it a bit cramped. Still, definitely worth a look.

That does look really cool. They're a cool company. I have a Fault on my wishlist. Apparently it's an expanded Klon-style circuit, and I really like the sound of my Wampler Tumnus which is a standard 3-knob Klon pedal.pekbro wrote: Tue Aug 23, 2022 8:18 pm So the OBNE Float Stereo filter pedal is pretty dope.

I like their stuff quite a lot and I expect to pick up some more stuff eventually, got a few of their reverbs on my list in the least. I do have a few of their utility pedals, the TRS splitter/merger, the Exp Ramper and Exp Slider that I use constantly. The Exp Ramper is definitely a must for any expression capable devices.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Tue Aug 23, 2022 8:30 pmThat does look really cool. They're a cool company.
