I have to say, I am REALLY loving the Roland Cloud.

Can anyone offer some thoughts on the difference between the JV1080 and the XV-5080 cloud versions? I know for the hardware the XV was an evolution and was updated with many more waveforms and I think updated sound quality. But in the plugins do they effectively have the same capabilities and sound? I saw that the JV was much expanded from the hardware.

I think they are nearly the same, 1,083 Waves and same effects, structure, etc., but I believe some presets are different. The download size is also slightly more for the XV-5080.

I don't have the plugout space

Jupiter 8 and Juno 60 are never coming off my System 8, and the Jupiter 4 is on another level. I've got the Space Drive bank loaded into it and I can't help but smile when going through it.

I don't have the plugout space

Jupiter 8 and Juno 60 are never coming off my System 8, and the Jupiter 4 is on another level. I've got the Space Drive bank loaded into it and I can't help but smile when going through it.

Well, there's no need to wait for Arturia then - there's plenty of decent JX-8P plugins available already (one being 100% free). For me, I don't have a problem switching out Plug-Outs to re-invigorate my System-8 on occasion. You should try it!

That was helpful thanks. Strange that the SRX ones seem to have all the waveforms of the 5080 plus a bunch more, yet the total size is the same for the 5080 as the SRX ones. SRX world for example has all waveforms of the 5080 plus 700 or 800 more. Btu they show as the same size on disk in the specifications.

So do 5080 presets open in the SRX plugins?

Yes they (the ACB from the Legendary Series) are - but System-1 only has one single Plug-Out slot, so you can only offload one at a time.
