Hello,
I have 4 discrete channels. Need to encode them into to 2 channels (stereo), and then get back to 4 discrete channels later.
Tried ambisonics stuff but couldn't achieve good results.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

I have a Sennheiser Ambeo VR mic. Use the Ambeo A-B format converter plugin for making the 4 tracks stereo.
https://www.sennheiser-sites.com/respon ... #ww1016646The AMBEO A-B format converter is a plug-in for your studio software. The plug-in converts signals recorded in Ambisonics' A-format to Ambisonics' B-format signals.

Thank you all for the replys.
CinningBao, that's a nice way to do it. Unfortunatly I'm stuck to 48kHz. Even I did it between 16kHz up to 24kHz, that means only 8kHz of total usage. It's also not that easy to do it.

So you want to losslessly and reversibly fit 32 bits of information into 16 bits of data? You understand that's impossible, right?
Hmm, maybe if you can sacrifice some bit depth then assign the lower bits to one signal and the higher bits to another...
But seriously, it sounds like you are trying to solve a problem the wrong way. What are you actually trying to do?
