Traded my Befaco Crush Delay for an Afterneath (Euro version). I had the pedal version before and it was cool, but this has more features, mostly related to self-oscillation it seems.

Also my MÜB Miezo is shipping Tuesday. :hyper:

I keep thinking (means strong GAS) and keep reading about digital pianos and electric guitars. I probably will end with one before the year ends.

I'm between new Korg LP 380 and used Kawai for the digital piano and everyday I choose another guitar! Digital piano is easy for me to choose but electric guitar is like a hell because it would be my first e. Guitar. My budget for the guitar is about $500 US dollars (that about $1000 NZ 😞 ). I want a guitar for most genres but especially blues and rock kind. Anyway, it seems most of them can do anything, so I might end going to the shops and choose the most comfortable one for my relatively small hands. I like some Ibanez and Schecter guitars for their looks but I might end with a classic strat clone or LP one!
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

I received the Genelec 7040A and Oto Machines deckcovers on Friday and Covers for Digitakt, Syntakt and Analog Heat.

Now comes the process of getting the best sound out of these Genelecs. I’ve already knocked off -6db from the sub and I’m testing out -2db of bass from the 8020s.

The sound is better in many ways than the JBL308s, but those things don’t get enough love (despite seeing many recommendations for the 305s). My brother bought a pair (of 308s) first and that’s how I was convinced they were better than my now 15+ year old Events.

The Genelecs are a step up. They’re missus approved because of the much smaller footprint. I’m not complaining either once I get the sound right… So lots of Everything In The Right Place, mixed in with Come And Get Your Love (Guardians of the Galaxy release) and then will add variety to round out placement.

More Behringer vapourishware, their Solina desktop clone has now been finished and given the “Mission Accomplished” official video treatment so it’s as available as their Edge was 10 months ago.

I like the sound and maybe the original Solina hardware was mono, but seems limited to not give it stereo outputs. I know the Arp/Solina stereo version of the Solina wasn’t as loved, but maybe it was just a bad version of the hardware?

Are you safe?

Got the Afterneath yesterday. I immediately remembered one of its downsides -- compared to more typical reverbs or delays (or in-between stuff like Desmodus/Electus or Supermassive) the control scheme feels kind of odd, and it always seems like there's more predelay than I might want.

CV control over the Drag parameter is pretty cool, although I see myself putting a short reverb after it so the sudden pitch shift can blend a bit. The other CV inputs are kind of meh. But the reflect send/return jacks are fantastic, and I think are where the real advantage of the Euro version comes in. Putting Blades in the feedback path for distortion and filtering is awesome, and gives you the opportunity to add some rhythmic motion by modulating the cutoff or reso. Beads in the feedback path is pretty great for shimmer that doesn't sound awful (like I think most shimmer reverb does). And just using the send output for psuedo-stereo or mid/side is a big win.

I've somehow contracted a serious case of GAS for a Sequential Prophet 6. Hoping the GAS will pass... :hihi:

I have a Prophet 6, which I usually play from a Linnstrument. Such a rad combo. It's got such a rich and dense tone and it's basically all sweet-spots. Even so, it has some decent sound design potential, for the kind of weird patches I like. I could have done without the built in effects but they fit the sound of the synth.
