Quanta has been a crash fest for me from the time I bought it in 2020... support use to at least respond for the first year then stopped.
Including crash logs..
maybe this is why they haven't responded.. working on Quanta 2...
Quanta sounds phenomenal to me, but for me in Cubase mac its been a crash fest.

Quantra ignores the tune knob setting when rendering. This makes the synth useless for any samples that are not perfectly tuned to C and causes it to sound different in the daw then in the rendered result. So you can't tune samples to sound correctly in the rendered version. I wrote an email to the support and even included the project files with version numbers and everything but they never responded.

For easy straight to the point granular, with no bells and whistles I still think Quanta is very powerfull and can do the job way quicker than Novum. And man it does sound great right out of the box. Novum is a much more complex beast to wrap your head around. Yes both are granular synthesis but not sure it’s fare to compare them.SLiC wrote: Fri Jul 01, 2022 9:25 am I have pretty much switched from Quantra to Novum but be interested to see what coming...I still use it on the iPad.

Loads of synth have now added a granular oscillator in combination with VA, FM,WT (like Pigments, Avenger, Falcon, Rapid etc) so it’s not that unusual anymore, I think a synth based predominantly on granular will have to be a bit different to stand out.Neon Breath wrote: Sat Jul 02, 2022 4:18 amFor easy straight to the point granular, with no bells and whistles I still think Quanta is very powerfull and can do the job way quicker than Novum. Any discount for people who already own Quanta? I'm not seeing an upgrade option. But my license for Quanta was purchased through Plugin Boutique and is not showing up in my user area on Audio Damage's website, so IDK if the website is showing upgrade offers for people who have Quanta registered there....Neon Breath wrote: Thu Aug 25, 2022 3:51 pm Quanta 2 now available.

$70 upgrade. I don't really use it so I'm not going to bother upgrading.

Wonder if the upgrade price will be reduced by 50% for BF. If so I'll seriously consider it. Otherwise I'm pretty sure that if I decide I really want yet another granular synth I'd rather get Novum or Pharlight.Effectsworks wrote: Thu Aug 25, 2022 5:26 pm $70 upgrade. Doesn't really seem like a huge update
