My CPU meter spikes 10-20% sometimes when I switch algorithms (especially rapidly) and then goes down over the next few seconds to about 4-6%. Is this known behaviour? (Live 11, Win 10).
Also it would be really handy to have the plugin display what algorithm you are currently on...

Yes, but you need to refer to the chart to see what kind of reverb it is (you can infer from listening / memorize it, obviously, but still, would be nice - the Korneff plugin has that).Vortifex wrote: Fri Aug 26, 2022 10:55 amDoes the red LED not show the number of the program you selected?dubguy99 wrote: Fri Aug 26, 2022 10:52 am My CPU meter spikes 10-20% sometimes when I switch algorithms (especially rapidly) and then goes down over the next few seconds to about 4-6%. Also, the scaling on the knobs is far from perfect. For normal, subtle-ish mixing tasks, only for the first 10% of the input and mix knob are useable and everything else goes into ambient effect territory. Maybe this is how the hardware worked, too, but it could be improved for sure.
Sidenote: the listed company for the VST3 is "SynthEdit". Could you change that to "Sergio Frias" or something? Also "uberverb" is spelled lowercase, unlike most plugins which start with an upper case "Uberverb". Not a big deal, obviously, but it comes across as slightly unprofessional.
Love the sound of it, just some advice to improve UX.

Its completely normal, there is a small increment of memory then stabillizes, this is due to synthedit architecture.yeah it stays at about 4% in my sessions,so is very light.dubguy99 wrote: Fri Aug 26, 2022 10:52 am My CPU meter spikes 10-20% sometimes when I switch algorithms (especially rapidly) and then goes down over the next few seconds to about 4-6%. I choose the hardware route, the algos are written in the manual, this is usefull to trust your ears and not the algo names.

Hello again, some may wonder were does the 7 extra algos come from,well...the are from the litle brother of the midiverb ,the midifex ,yeah the bloom algos is also from it. All the algos took me a tremendous time to figure out (4 months of work),since i had access to the algo topology, but i also had to analize the impulse response from the original to make sure i was having the same buildup , and reverb time and color.
This week i was having fun running my strat guitar thru some of the longest reverbs, i just love the sound altough i also love other units (lex) midiverb is just wonderful ,lush unique sound, the 10khz frequency response really contributes a lot to that tone. No wonder Enya producer keeps two of this units, its so great , even on vocals, not just for classic synth stuff.

I do enjoy these kinds of passion projects from people - nice job! Do you plan on looking at any other machines? A MIDIVERB II plugin emulation would be cool too, and you might be able to build upon the work you've already done analysing the MIDIVERB.

Do you think there's anything in the Reverb XT or XT:C that's different from the midiverb? Different enough to be worth emulating?sergiofrias wrote: Sun Aug 28, 2022 1:03 pmThank you for your words, yes i do plan to follow up with new work keeping the legacy of the late Keith Barr .beely wrote: Sun Aug 28, 2022 10:00 am ...and you might be able to build upon the work you've already done analysing the MIDIVERB.

Midiverb is surelly an improvement, xt is the predecessor to midiverb. I would love to get one of those to compare.biscuitdough wrote: Mon Aug 29, 2022 12:04 amDo you think there's anything in the Reverb XT or XT:C that's different from the midiverb?
