I also like this EQ a lot. Got it in the last sale. Just hoping for M1 soon.Aloysius wrote: Fri Aug 26, 2022 5:59 pm SSL X-EQ 2 sounds great imo. I haven't tired of it since I got it in September 2021. There are not many plugins I can say that about.

Hi,
I'm planning on purchasing the SSL BUS Compressor 2, on Sale for $34.99, which seems to be very popular. But not sure what the X-EQ2 offers that would make me buy it ?
Thanks.

In the least, it's got that anti-cramping thing, for that time of the month.
Definitely a great EQ for cheap (currently), of course, its not the only great EQ, which is probably
the biggest issue with it for most atm. *There's the iLok thing as well, an issue for many.

SSL is I think the only vendor I use thats not M1 native (thus without rosetta).Aiynzahev wrote: Fri Aug 26, 2022 7:30 pm I also like this EQ a lot. Got it in the last sale. Just hoping for M1 soon.
And since I use the UC1 and a whole bunch of theplugs from SSL it saves me from spending on the m1 ultras
I just hope it will be when the M3 mega MacPro is announced/revealed.
I dont hope it will be Nucleus part 2. They abandoned that thing hard on OSX.

Hi All, I picked up this EQ at one of the recent sales. I know that holding the Shift key allows only the gain of a node to be changed, but I can't figure out if there's a key command for changing only the frequency. Most other EQs have this feature. I'm on macOS. Is there a key for this?
Cheers!

Nope. Shift locks the frequency, Command changes the Q. To control *only* the frequency without affecting the gain or Q, you'd need to drag on the "Hz" display above the node, rather than the node itself.cpsmusic wrote: Wed Oct 26, 2022 1:28 pmI know that holding the Shift key allows only the gain of a node to be changed, but I can't figure out if there's a key command for changing only the frequency. Some of them have had native updates. All the newer ones are already native, and in the last week or two, the Channel Strip 2 and Bus Comp 2 have had native updates, so they are coming, but there's still a bunch of the older ones yet to have updates released.
Here's the state of my SSL bunch:

Thanks, strange that they didn't implement this.beely wrote: Wed Oct 26, 2022 2:35 pmNope. Shift locks the frequency, Command changes the Q. This has become my go-to EQ just because of how fast it is to apply simple filters. Still use Pro-Q occasionally for the dynamic features but the SSL is the perfect plugin for quick alterations.
