Hi. I'm looking for the cheapest software I can posisbly get that will enable me to render movies with audio. - That's all I want it for really, just to import .mov or .avi files, and import .wav files, then render the two together as one file (mov, avi, mpg - whatever).

I know the top end stuff like Final Cut Pro, but I need something cheap!
I saw a full version of Roxio Videowave Movie Creator LE on a magazine; will this do the trick?

It's a PC I'm using, with Windows 98.

Many thanks for all replies!

TMPGEnc.

Extremely user friendly, great results, and can be tweaked to perfection. Best of all, its freeware. In my opinion, nothing comes close.

Quicktime Pro?

I second the virtualdub recommendation. Just set your video to "direct stream copy", and set your audio source to "wav audio", and then save out an avi.

Alternatively, virtualdubmod handles MPEG a lot better, so that might be worth a look too.

For .mov, I would think Quicktime Pro is your only real option.
