Arturia Analog Experience - The Laboratory vs Novation Impulse Controller

Been looking at this due to the software (1 day deal) is on offer for $150/Approx£100.
Nice deal then thought I search google. A few places in UK are selling this for around £280 (software + controller) http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/pro ... intro.html. Never really considered or new it existed.
I am currently in search of a versatile midi keyboard controller pitch bed, modulation, possibly joystick, encoders & sliders (for controlling vst channel strips mute/fades) easy midi mapping for a multitude of VST use. Already have Maschine, JD800 and soon QuNeo Multitouch.
The Arturia would be instead of a Novation Impulse for controlling vsts etc. Is the Arturia worth the money considering the software and controller as great value vs the Novation (http://www.dv247.com/computer-hardware/ ... ard--89696).
Opinions and thoughts please.
May go for the 61 key if peoples opinions of Novation outweigh the Arturia. The Arturia software is something I hadn't considered so really an added bonus. Of course if I opt for Novation I may go for the Arturia software stand alone.
Thanks

Difficult to pick a winner, as both are awesome.
I would have picked the Arturia option, as I would want to get my hand on the software included.

Find yourself a novation mkI for cheap. Dual screens. It's much more useful than the arturia laboratory keyboard for other VSTs.

Yep thought this maybe the case. I have also read a lot of people criticising Novations move in dropping the dual screen. Maybe a decent 2nd hand Mk1 is the way forward. Are they still compatible with Automap 4 or not do you think?
Got my eye on some 2nd hand Vsynths which are very different avenues but you know they are a tasty price at the moment and always fancied one.
I am so stuffed and bad a being decisive.

I have an SL61 MkI and an SL25 MKII. Although there are a few things I like about the mkII like the smooth upper encoders and the lights, the mkI works fine with all automap versions.

I've had a bit of Novation gear over the years and the Automap is a winner for me. So much so that even though my Nocturn has slowly died since I've had it, I'm still gonna go for one of the impulse keys.
I'm hoping for a much better build (encoder wise) on the Impulse's than the Nocturn as my original Remote25 is still going strong and its serial number is really low (under 200 I think) so they got that one right out of the traps whereas the Nocturn only really lasted a couple of years before most of the encoders give problems - I've got two left out of the eight that 'sort-of' work and the fader is ok. If it wasn't for the Automap I would never have considered another Novation controller but I suppose the Nocturn was kinda 'budget-range'.
FWIW I'm planning on turning my Mopho & the Remote25 into my version of the Mopho Keyboard - My 1st hardware custom
- Gonna call it the 'ReMofo25'(tm)

I know this is SUPER old, but out of curiosity, is anyone using a Novation Impulse with Analog Lab here? I'm really struggling to get this set up so that it uses sliders without having to MIDI map every time, was hoping someone could give me some pointers

Right now, I'm honestly getting really f**king put out that they're selling me preset banks for 15$ a bank and expecting me to remap parameters EVERY SINGLE TIME I CHANGE SOUNDS with midi learn. that is BULLSHIT. If I use a minilab mk2 or a keylab 88 or whatever I can just pick that profile and it will assign the sliders and knobs on the screen to my sliders and knobs on my keyboard. Acting like my novation impulse isn't programmable enough to do that is just anticonsumerist, antichoice, and is a HUGE black mark on Arturia imo.
