i did read it somewhere (can't say is it research or just opinion) that the more kilos, the less brain activity :):):)
On the topic - Icarus is outstanding,in the mix just shine among other synths, but as designer i've got point of view which ordinary users don't and have to say that some stuff could be upgraded.
Especially mod matrix modulations - wrote this to Markus, maybe is difficult as coding, but for users will be useful to have it.
The video i upload was about mixing glitch section to main stream.
Watch it and will understand it immediately - it's a request for next update - when assign it to modulator(lfo, adsr,cc) it will mix gated(or other applied fx) to main signal as you can see i do it with mouse.
Adding dynamics to output is simple and effective modulation, not sure why most synths don't have it.
Cheers :)

Is there anymore ambient presets for sale?

This synth slays everything else I've tried. Even better than Dune 3 imo.

there are quite a few presets - soundsets and sound designers that fall more to the ambient side...

The ones i know and tried:
my soundset - atmos infinity - https://www.tone2.net/atmos.html
Mac of BIOnighT -Psychophonia- https://www.tone2.net/psychophonia.html
Touch The Universe - Heavenly Flights - https://www.tone2.net/heavenly-flights.html
Simon Stockhausen - Elevation - https://www.patchpool.net/icarus_elevation.html

Presets from BT and Massimo Bosco and a few more are also usually suitable for ambient;
and a few more soundsets also have them, maybe not so focused....

You can check them mainly on tone2 webpage and hear demo tracks to maybe help you select/choose something that resonates with you

there could be some more soundsets/patches with that focus (ambient/space/berlin school) but i'm not aware of them.....

Was a very lazy pupil an did a bad exam. After school I had to join the army in 1999. It wasn't my cup of tea as I had some problems to subordinate.
Studied Electronics in 2000. Thought that I could continue beeing lazy as in school but messed it up. Instead, preferred playing in a 'Chillout Electonic Jazz Band' with my friends and coded VST plugins that I played during our life sessions. In those days I nearly ruined my life with drugs. Finally noticed that this isn't healty at all. After this I completely stayed away from this and seriously changed my life. I got reasonable and studied IT. I received no money from my parents and had to fund my studies with VST plugin. This time I finished the exam properly.
Never had a wife that was interested in doing music. Got divorced last year. A good decision. We still got a good relationship.

I have downloaded all the other new installers like nemesis and rayblaster, but version info shows me 2.1 and 2.72 instead of 2.4 and 2.9
Anyone else has the same issues on windows. On the homepage it looks like both, win and Mac have been updated

Post

Nice Markus! Thank you for the hard work!

Thank you for this generous upgrade!

Unfortunately, in Live 11.1 on my Mojave (10.14.6) iMac 2019 5k 27", the GUI covered the whole screen and I couldn't find any way to shrink it. Never mind, though, since everything worked in slow motion. ;-)

I downgraded to the previous version and everything worked fine again. If you're om Mojave, maybe first download a demo, if you don'y yet own a license.
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Icarus 2.5 has a new feature: It automatically picks the largest possible size for your screen.
Enhancements:

More smart detection of the VST2 path.
...
The ideal GUI size is detected automatically.

To change the GUI size and make it smaller click on the 'SIZE' button on the top left. There you can select from 12 different sizes (also explained on page 17 in the handbook).
