Free partner products with Cubase 12

So I'm seeing others sell off these "extras" on the market now, which would make it better for me as well if I bought the update. Seeing that those 2nd hand market sales state they need to be registered before a certain date though has me wondering if the update for the DAW also has to be registered by a certain date. Or is it like they have done previously that I could hold on to it until I see a future version I find more attractive? (Currently on v11.5.)
