Great observation! This was one of my wishes for K14, so if it is really true, it will be awesome. Just like they did it with Super 8, to start with as an experiment.

An icing on the cake will be if they feature a resizable GUI and VST3 versions.

EDIT: Damn, it looks like the other that have Reaktor in their names are named that way by default, which is probably why the difference. For a moment I got excited. Hope it happens in future!

Does anyone see if the ultimate editions have the advanced Izotope products?

Seeing Ozone Standard in there was what I was expecting and a big reason I’ve avoided the Izotope sales. It seemed likely they would eventually become one product line as a Komplete tier. I obviously don’t know, but it’s just what I’m expecting to see from their merger.

Update is a bit of a joke, to be honest. Nothing is really new, nothing is (at least marketed as) M1-ready except Kontakt (& Guitar Rig, now), more like "external" newbies. Ozone is nice to have, but i hope they're licensing it with the komplete licence, not with iLok...

Biggest joke for me is the inclusion of Sequis in the Ultimate, but Arkhis still in Collectors - and with Lores there, it's 600.- to upgrade to CE, but if you look at piano colors, lores, arkhis, sequis... it's still cheaper to buy upgrade from Ultimate 13 to CE 14 than those four separate...

I mean, at least you'll get the actual bunch of Massive X expansions and new play series on the way, but... 600? Ultimate Update is 400 and i don't see me using most of them - i'll actually use like 20% of K13U...

And no more reaktor-to-VSTi - Changes as it looks, still a big bunch of ancient synths and pitiful sample libraries, no new trio-pack of effects...

Welp. Plugin Budget for september is already gone to arturia, dawesome and valhalla. I'll wait.

Says Kontakt 7 will be released in October 2022, although K14 will be available from September 27. Hope it will not be a Massive X fiasco repeat!

EDIT: Never mind, it's only Kontakt 7 separately, which will be available on October 4. But it will be available from September 27 as part of Komplete 14.

Kontakt 7's feature page is a joke.

Ok so they didn't change the actual kontakt interface other than the browser and library UI? Like the actual sample building stuff is the same non-hi dpi? All this time are you serious? That interface is from almost two decades ago.

And here’s the comparison chart:

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/p ... n/compare/

From Brainworx, the Oberhausen is included in all but Select, and Knifonium is also in CE. There’s also vouchers for Brainworx stuff - 1, 2 and 3 from regular up to CE. BX Console and Foucsrite SC are also CE exclusive.

FWIW, this looks like a solid update to me. If you think all the stuff in CE is bloat, you are not the target customer. A lot of very nice stuff in there.

I wonder if they will do the same update for FM8 - New high res browser, same old low res synth UI?

Looks identical to the new Massive X browser.

Exactly. The Expansions and Play Series instruments are usually dismissed as bloat, but they are not.

I was hoping for a little more newness on the main platforms/products side, but still looks like a decent update.

MPE?
Joking. This is NI we're talking about. I don't think they really look around much.

I’m still not seeing images for Kontakt 7 here. Looks like that Browser - inadequate in Massive x - will still be a good step forward for Kontakt (and is clearly tailored for Kontakt)

I see Orchestral Tools have some stuff in the factory Library now.

Don't think most people really need techy things like MPE. And if it is a necessity, I think there are tons of other options out there, so expecting that from NI and criticizing them because they don't have it doesn't really make much sense to me.

NI is "The Future of Sound" and not tech. There are a lot of things that NI could do before touching things like MPE.

IMHO.
